No one would have ever expected for Korea to put its stamp on the four major titles in Egypt.
Using surprise attack techniques, Korean men doubles pair of Lee Chul Seung & Ryu Seung Min were able to take over the Men's double final by beating the favourite Austrian pair of Schlager & Jindark 4-1 in a very exciting match.
It is obvious that the Korean team has reached a very high level of physical fitness that enabled them to successfully compete with the powerful European team.
On the other hand the Korean women's double was able to name-tag this event for themselves and earning the first place prize money .
Lee Eun Sil of Korea comfortably won the title of the women's single for the first time of her table tennis career by defeating Liu Jia of Austria 4-0.
Werner Schlager, current world champion, had planned from the beginning to stay at the top of this event and win the Egypt Pro Tour for the first time; but Ryu Seung Min of Korea did not grant him this wish.
"I could not play my strong backhand in the 4th set, but I tried hard in the 5th & 6th sets but he (Ryu) kept changing his techniques" said Schlager after the match. "it is also good to get second place and I will come back for the 3rd Pro Tour in Cairo to claim this title". Schlager added.
Ryu Seung Min was very happy to win the men's title , confirming that he would come back to defend his title in 2006.
