Table Tennis TV Broadcasts
Eurosport Schedule
Friday, March 25, 2005
Table tennis fans throughout Europe have a real `treat' in store; they can enjoy extensive television coverage from the 2005 LIEBHERR European Table Tennis Championships that are being staged in Aarhus, Denmark from 27th March to 3rd April.
Eurosport, the pan-European Sports Channel, will broadcast on Eurosport International and on Eurosport 2 approximately twenty (20) hours from the Championships.
The first broadcast will be the Men’s Team Semi-Finals on Tuesday 29th March 2005 at 13:00 Central European Time (CET) and Eurosport’s broadcasts will continue throughout the Championships.
In addition to Eurosport, other television networks are covering the event with DR Denmark being the Host broadcaster and they will no doubt have high hopes that Michael MAZE (winner of the Europe Top Twelve in 2004) and his Danish Team mates will bring the home nation a haul of medals.
The coverage of the event is a major boost for table tennis and Anders Thunström, TMS International Managing Director, is understandably upbeat about the amount of coverage that has been gained.
"TMS International is very proud to service the ITTF's television rights and in this case the ETTU's television rights for the European Championships", he said. "We are very happy that we are bringing top table tennis action to European fans."
So, if you live in Europe, check the local television listings for your country and tune to the Eurosport coverage of the 2005 LIEBHERR European Table Tennis Championships.
