Can anybody please tell me whether it is legal to use the Friendship 563 medium pips rubber with sponge? I gather from the ITTF site that pips out rubbers don't require to have a sponge underneath (e.g. Dr. Evil) but my supplier told me that I need to buy a sponge for the 563 topsheet. Thanks.
