I know next to nothing about table tennis, but I am looking for a gift for a developing junior player.

I came across some of the Chinese blades / rubber on zeropong.com and the price point is attractive. What is the quality of these Chinese products?

If they would be acceptable quality, can someone recommend a blade / rubber combination that an 11-year old could use to develop his game?
