You can also block with a "rough" LP rubber, you just need to train, but it's possible. Otherwise, I know some players that just replaced their smooth LP by a hard rubber, like BTY Orthodox or Dr Evil, and adapt their style of play, they're very happy about this changing, because hard rubbers are far more interesting than people generally think : you can easily block and hit with them, and you can do very efficient drop shots. |
