I've read that the Stiga Radical in 2.2 loops pretty well but causes control problems for those unfamiliar with short pips. Frankly, I've never been able to loop worth a damn with short pips of any sort. But they can be really good for hitting and returning serve. I've never been able to chop with short pips either -- with the exception of Dr. Evil, which is OX, so thin you can read the words printed on the wood underneath and so limply uncooperative when you're trying to glue it that you'd might as well be hammering a nail with a wet slice of Pastrami.
