I put one wet layer on, stick rubber to blade instantly, then put another dry layer on in 1/2 hour time, which seems to work the best for me. The press is good, as it helps prolong the glue effect, and get rid of any bubbles that you may have after glueing. It can also help the rubber stick if you have a big dome after glueing. Not worth buying though, as you can make them fairly easily.
