defender need to make opponent having mistakes, so a good defender SHOULD have ability to chop with long pips from forehand and backhand, chop with reserve rubber from forehand, counter attack with forehand and backhand, and lobbing from forehand!!!

whether we use it or not depends on your opponent, say,(if he attack to your forehand side) if he is not good at reading spins, chop with reserve rubber from forehand!!!if he is not good at loop heavy backspin, then chop with reserve rubber from forehand!!!if his attack is weak, counter attack it !!!if his attack is very fast, spinny and powerful, lob it !!!
