I think the 2 hours and the 6 hours actually means how long the glue will stick for, not drying time. You should put a thick layer of glue on the sponge, let dry for around 8-10 minutes (or until the doming has peaked) then apply another layer, leave to dry again (usually less than 8 minutes depending on conditions). Also you should have put a thin layer on the blade itself. Then you roll the rubber onto the blade and leave for 10-15 minutes between 2 heavy books or a clicky press.... Then wait another 30 minutes at least for the glue effect to settle down, then you can play.....you may have to reglue after 3 hours or so of play as the glue effect will wear out..... |
