1) 50% Cement 50% Heptane is not going to give the same degree of expansion as speed glue, and even if it did you could leave your rubber on just fine. I assemble hundreds of paddles a year with a slightly less thinned mixture.And the rubber stays on just fine. 2) Rubber cement is not very hard so unless you applied a ridiculously thick layer, your brand of glue or application technique is not going to have a significant effect on the way your paddle plays. (unless of course you are speed gluing, in which case the effect is of short duration and needs to be done daily) Dave |
