Right foot forward on the bh and left foot forward on the forhand. I know the current style of coaching requires a more 'square to the table' stance but to any degree the weight should be changed from back foot to front foot on both shots. Keep the left thigh as tight to the table on the fh and try not drop the bat below the table on the bh. The modern game is coming over the table much more. Practice, practise, practise, with or with out your bat and at the table or away from it and when ever possible. I reckon that being in the wrong place with the wrong feet is the worst thing in TT and being in the right place with the right footwork is by far the best. Good Luck my friend. |
