I'd like to share my experience with J-pen RPB. First, I found that "round" shapes work better than "square" ones for me. Composite blade works better than uni-ply one (the sweet spot & thickness). I'd start with FX-EL if you are new to this style due to its lighter weight. Unless you sand away most of the cork on back side(make it like c-pen), you would notice the change of weight distribution changes the feelings of the blade (I put only 2/3 of rubber on the back side). Amount the blades I tried for RPB, Nittaku KCG ($75) and Galaxy 986 ($28) work for me. KCG was the fastest one, tho. I hope this experience helps you. I give up this style already; I'm too old for new tricks. |
