I concur on the 729 Cream MRS, Galaxy Milky Way 9000. I've played with the Cream/MRS unglued and it is very good. It's even better glued, but the difference in performance is not nearly as great as with most rubbers. I like the Milky Way 9000 glued, and I hear that it plays well glued. I'm not fond of 999super, but I may have a bad sheet. All of these rubbers are $14 or less. Of the more expensive rubbers, I like Desto F2/F3 by far the best. I play with these unglued. Not far behind are Stiga Magna (although it plays even better glued) and Butterfly Catapult which I played with for the first time last night unglued. It was great, but not as much control (for me and despite the ratings) as the Desto F2/F3. Hope that helps. |
