Tackiness drive should be easy to control in 1.7, however, i dont know a great deal of people that use it. I do know, however, the Sriver EL is very versatile, and seems a tried and tested product.

Im a looper as opposed to a hitter. Im currently using Stiga Magna, which is medium sponge on my FH. It seems to generate a lot of spin, hard enough sponge to hit well, but also good for looping. You could consider this in 1.8mm
