The color is a sort of charcoal grey. The sponge felt a lot like mrs to me in it's texture. It felt more chinese than japanese. I didn't use it. I just got a couple sheets in for a friend.

He said it was an "interesting animal," but that it "skits" in the short game. I think that means the ball doesn't catch on the rubber.
