Matt, I have two Bombs -- one anatomic, one flair. They are both "wispy." For me, at least, the flair is more comfortable because it doesn't narrow so much at the very top where the handle connects to the blade itself. The narrowness of the anatomic at the top brings the edges of the neck uncomfortably into middle finger and thumb joints. Alex is right; the 896 has a slightly larger, more comfortable handle. Unfortunately, the 896s are temporarily out of stock. The Bomb and 896 are similar but not identical in play. The Bomb is better close to the table while the 896 excells away from table. I would rate the 896 a bit faster overall -- but definitely softer and more flexible. It's that extra flex that I may misinterpret for extra speed. |
