Interesting! I though I was the only odd one insisting on non-table-tennis shoes for table tennis. I felt and twisted my ankle not once but twice trying to catch shots. So until manufacturers wise up to the fact that the ankle is also as vulnerable in table tennis as in volley or basket ball, I only wear basket ball shoes, which provides ample ankle support very nicely, for table tennis. I selected this Nike model that looks smallish so people don't even know that I actually wear them on a table tennis court.
