as i have mentioned,the motion is deceiving when you have mastered the technique.from that position he can give topspin or underspin,depending on what he likes.it's like you give more emphasis on the pulling upward motion for topspin,and pushing under the ball for underspin.you can also surprise the opponent by a sudden fast topspin serve,by giving a slight pushing forward jerking motion to the ball
