Vibration in all wood blades is commonly thought as desirable "feel". But this is precisely the problem with this type of blades. The after-shock resonance of the blade after the blade's initial contact with the ball is harmful because it masks out the ball-contact feed back which is what we really want to "feel". It's like listening to the radio and couldn't hear the music because it has been drowned out by loud noise and static. You don't loose control with composite blades either. There are slow fiber blades that retain full controllability, but minus the harmful vibration. |
