You're thinking's right. I am left hand and had the same problem like your brother. After many tries I now use a Friendship RITC 799 short pips 1.5mm for BH and it feels good. if your brother do more a slice than chop and often smash BH instead of loop like me then try the 799. At first it feels weird but after a couple training sessions I can feel the difference. May be it just works for me FH: loop BH:block, push, hit,slice
