Why use RITC 799? (1)

I've been playing a while with RITC 799 1.8mrs on the back of one of my penhold blades. I'm trying to figure out a use for which this rubber with sponge excels. It is not as fast or easy to control as 802, and it is not at all deceptive. It produces a bit more spin than 802, but not enough to make a lot of difference. Can anyone fill me in on the 799 raison d'etre? |
