Watching Waldner in slow motion is something special... but while I can't stand the rest of his game Werner Schlager has some really sweet serves. I'd try watching their technique, ecpecially if you can find some close up slow mo footage.

there is no best one, but the one that works the best on any given opponent. Try hitting the same serve (insideout for example) to all parts of the court from the same starting position... different speeds, different depths, different amounts of spin. after a little practice find a player whom you have had a good record against with some close matches, and use only that one type of serve the entire match, varying everything, never hitting it the same way twice. you may be surprised by the result. some may say that's not the same serve then, but any good player will only let you get away with one serve once before they stuff it back down you throat:)
