Thanks to everyone for your helpful comments. I did end up buying the 729 FX EL Supersoft. Unfortunately, I was not very happy with its performance. It was not very bouncy at all and this was its weakest characteristic. It definitely is not for someone (like me) who just wanted a cheaper alternative to Japanese rubbers like Mark V, Sriver or Tackifire Special Soft. I will say on the positive side that Friendship has come a long way from just making hard sponges. If you are a player who wants a tacky topsheet but don't like the ultra hard Chinese sponges, this might be worth a try. |
