Mark V HPS

MARK V HPS is a top of the range fast table tennis rubber and gives you all the characteristics required for advanced offensive play.
MARK V HPS is the result of the newest Japanese rubber technology.

The HPS technology gives:
• improved dynamics in the sponge
• more speed and spin, without higher weight

Mark V HPS is a medium hard sponge, suitable for aggressive play close to the table.

Speed: 100
Spin: 100
Control: 60

Yasaka rubbers are steeped in history dating back all the way to 1926. The flagship rubber for Yasaka has been the Mark V. Mark V burst onto the table tennis world stage in the 1970 and 1971 World Championships taking home victory in both competitions. The Mark V is still going strong today and other versions of the rubber have been produced through the following decades.

More recently Yasaka has developed Rakza rubbers which have taken innovation to another level. The shape of the pimples provides a strong balance between spin and speed. Rakza rubbers use Hybrid Energy to provide synergy between top sheet and sponge providing great elasticity for power and control.

Yasaka has many more rubbers in their product line as well. Yasaka rubbers are used by top professionals as well as players of all levels. Be like 2019 World Championship Silver Medalist Matias Falck and choose Yasaka rubbers.

Reviews of Yasaka Mark V HPS (39)

Yasaka Mark V HPS is a very tacky, hard Rubber best suited for a variable offensive playing style.
It allows you many different strokes, it has many gears, and has a slight (!) catapult effect. The catapult effect is not very noticeable, but still there.
If you want to work on your technique this rubber is worth it.
It lasts a very long time! It stays tacky still after one year (and even longer) if you put on a protective screen.
It is a rubber definitely worth buying!

Mark v hps has good spin , speed and control.
Good with T-11+ or TB allc.
Helps in rallying. The rubbers topspin can be blocked easily by other rubbers.
Rubber for people who llike to keep ball in play.

Not the biggest fan to be honest. Reading all the hype and then testing it out struck me. Used this on backhand. Best features of this rubber is light weight, blocking, control. Speed is not there and grip for spin not there. Could just be my technique also as Im comparing to DHS rubbers such as H3,Tin Arc3. Goldarc8. Even razka 7 soft. Yasaka rubbers do a great job of block and control. But when it comes to Rpb looping/driving.. doesnt shine. Or maybe I tried using the wrong yasaka rubber for my style of play. If youve started on DHS rubbers as a Penholder.. best to stay there IMO. Yasaka hits different. Still a quality rubber. I used it on YEO for BH. I just struggled to use it to lift under spin and execute Rpb smashes. No hate..

The best rubber ever produced.
Top spin machine. Awsome spin and enormous control. Very light weight. Excellent in all aspects except durability which is a little bit less than average.
So easy to use from beginners to advanced users. Highly recommended to any offensive or allround players.

Offensive rubber with excellent spin and control. Very good grip if you brush the ball adequately. Medium throw angle, less than all Rakza serie rubbers. Excellent in powerfull top spin with a low angle rasing the net. Very good also in the short game, plenty of control. Easy spinny serves. And more, it has a very light weight, lightens significantly the total weight of your paddle if you use it on both sides FH & BH, allowing you to pair them with an heavier blade.
The only weakness I see is the durability of the top sheet which quickly wears out under heavy top spins.
Without any doubt quicker and a lot spinnier than the original Mark V without loosing any control.
