Butterfly Revoldia CNF - detailed review

The Butterfly Revoldia CNF represents a new technology with regards to blade construction. Unlike classic carbon fibers, ALC fibers, TAMCA fibers, or ZLC fibers, this new fiber brings a new standard with regards to blade design and performance. This new technology is called Cellulose NanoFiber, hence the CNF abbreviation. Cellulose Nanofiber is derived fiber from wood pulp. This pulp has been micro-refined to the nano level of several hundredths of microns and smaller. The new special material has the characteristics of wood, with the same technology that has been used for carbon and other materials.

What makes this blade stand out is its ability to act like a carbon blade on attack shots a d the soft touch of wood on soft and medium efforts shots. This is because the inter-woven wood pulp of the Cellulose Nanofiber increases how the wood functions at ball contact. The combination of 5 wood plies, and 2 nanofiber plies create low vibration and high reaction. This ensures that there is great feel as well as a high rebound when the ball is struck.

The recommendation rubbers line for this blade is the Tenergy's. The Tenergy 05 is the rubber that has the highest arc, and the short travel path on the table. The Tenergy 80 is has the second highest arc, with the ball landing mid-distance on the table. The Tenergy 64 has the low trajectory, but has the longest travel path landing closest to the end of the table. If you are looking for more feel and a lightly deeper ball travel on the table, then the FX version of these rubber will work effectively. To add more grip to this blade you can get the Soft Grip Tape. It provides grip and comfort to the racket handle. Another great choice for racket care is adding side tape to the blade. It can protect the wood in the event it is hit on the edge or on top of the table.

FAQ: Does Megaspin sell Japan-made Butterfly blades?

Some Butterfly blades like Korbel and Grubba are produced in factories both in Europe and in Japan, so they exist in 2 variants. When a Japanese blade has a Europe-made version, we always carry the Japanese variant. Other blades like Butterfly Timo Boll Offensive are only made in China so we cannot carry a Japanese variant of these blades.

FAQ: Do Butterfly blades come pre-sealed?

All Butterfly blades come pre-sealed from the factory. There is no need to add blade sealing but you may if you require additional protection.

Reviews of Butterfly Revoldia CNF (13)

I wanted a blade for modern defense with and emphasis of strong forehand attacks and disruptive long pips close to the table for bh. This thing is amazing with dignics 80 max thickness on fh.

This is fast enough without the carbon to allow me to use long pips on backhand. Debating bh pips with this blade ilius b 1.1 mm, feint long 3 1.3. I can attack with this.

The feel allows me to loop every ball safely with speed and spin.

Very good blade one of the best but the most suitable rubbers for it's hard sponge only or medium hard, that ways you find bad reviews here because people don't understand this special blade, I wishes all the best??

The details about structure is well known, so in few words - Revoldia CNF is an amazing blade!
Handle is not too thin, the topsheet is huge (D09c and D05), with great feeling close to the table, but also in every position far or in the mid-distance play. Serve, block and drive are fine, topspin is lower, with the "tones of spin" and the best precision, though every shoot depends a lot on athleticism...
So just enjoy playing and using RVD CNF!
