$5 ($0.83/ball)
4.5/5

Gambler P40+ ball is a fully synthetic ITTF approved competition ball.
P40+ is designed to carry spin farther with superior durability when compared to regular POLY or ABS construction.
Gambler P40+ was independently engineered and manufactured by Gambler, ensuring superior quality and playability.

• Higher Spin
• Higher Speed
• Fully Synthetic (NON CELLULOID)

Gambler has made the change to their own punch out manufacturing process; this is the 2 part construction that is used in nearly every professional event worldwide. While their previous seamless design was good, nearly all national and international events use the 2 part ball, causing this style of ball to be preferred by a large majority of players.

Very good and consistent practice ball.

Overall, this is a good ball. Feels very similar to DHS D40+, but not quite as durable. My co-workers and I can break these in 1-2 weeks. DHS D40+ lasts twice as long. Feels heavier and harder than Nittaku Premium, so it is not a good substitute if you like that ball.

After four years of not playing due to numerous things including knee surgery and lack of time, my son and I started training again and I had to get some of the new plastic balls. So I bought several different brands-Nittaku, DHS, Kingnik and the Gamblers. We mixed them all together in a tray and use them for drills, multi ball etc. Both my son and I find that these Gamblers play as well or better than the other brands. They appear slightly harder than the Kingnik and the DHS. Now I have not used these for any matches-since where he and I play has off white background so we use orange Nittakus. But these appear to be excellent balls for the money. Since I have about 115 balls mixed together, I have not had a chance to see how long one individual ball would last, and until I can start playing matches again (both the places we play other than at my home are closed due to the COVID panic), I cannot really determine how long they will last. However, the only two we have broken was due to accidentally stepping on them during drills. My son hits very hard and edge hits have not ruined one yet. I have yet to find one that wobbled or flew funny.
