Donic Waldner Exclusive AR+

Select handle type:

3.5/5

This blade combines excellent control plus speed. It is faster than the Appelgren AR and perfectly combines the power of an offensive blade with the outstanding control of an all-round blade. Suitable for attacking allrounders who like to vary their topspin in a close-to-the-table game as well as playing away from the table without loss of control. Donic's "exclusive" blade series at unbeatable value. The specially selected ply combinations provide these competition blades with increased control and smooth playing characteristics.

Reviews of Donic Waldner Exclusive AR+ (7)

Bought this a few years back as my first ply, attracted largely by the price. Have to say the blade amazed me. Control is top-notch, and speed is not too much yet enough for beginners to intermediate players to improve their game and strokes. Since my playstyle was that of a modern defender, I paired it with Grass DTecs OX on BH and Genius Supreme on the FH and it complemented the rubbers perfectly. Light blade, mine was approximately 87g and did everything for a cheap price. Recommended for beginners to intermediate who are looking forward to improving their strokes and overall gameplay. Overall a bang for the buck.

This was my first professional blade. I've enjoyed it very much, its in the realm of primorac and yasaka sweden extra, which means its an excellent blade for begginers. Not too quick, not too slow. Goes well with most of the rubbers available, however per my feelings its a bit stiffer than for example the sweden extra.

I am using this pretty affordable blade for about 1 year now with xiom vega euro df on both sides. The blade is pretty spinny and quite fast know that setup and still good control and good feedback.

I switched from the Appelgren Exclusive to this. Both blades had Bluefire M2 rubber. This blade was noticeably faster. I didn't see any less control when looping or on BH topspin shots. However I found short blocks, and short serves were harder to keep low and short. Some seemed to pop up or carry long. Perhaps I'm not used to the speed yet.

Paddle isn’t very sturdy- blade cracked in the throat of the paddle after using maybe 20-30 times. Wouldn’t recommend.
