DHS G888

The sticky surface combined with relatively hard and very elastic sponge provide players with more power and spin in loop attack from the medium distance and even far from the table. Surface: Sticky
Sponge: Hard

This is a typical Chinese rubber, hard sponge and top sheet surface with a tacky rubber, as TTCP wrote. I've been using it for about 2 months, tested it and the first impression was that it has a lot of grip and tackiness, generating a lot of spin, which was a surprise, as hard sponge was completely dead and hard to feel the strokes in that condition. I order a pair for myself and boost it with parafine oil in two passes, maybe I should make 3 passes but...
Sponge softens a little bit, but it is still hard and FH-only rubber for me, with amazing spin and blocks, smashes, chops and pushes, with great control!
Flicks with this rubber are easy and precise, but slow, so you must plan each deployment carefully.
Perfect for defense and all-round play style, but I enyoj playing with it, as I like looping and heavy spin stroke exchange...it is hard to control it far from table.
I like it and I will purchase another pair...put it on off or off+ blade without hesitation.
Additional note: after 2 months boosting effect with paraphine oil wanished, so it becomes dead, and need tuning... tackines is still there.

DHS G888 2.0mm HARD
Good for beginer's, but you get stuck after playing with it for a while. After 9 months of playing, I tried boosting it with 2 layers of mineral oil, I think it needed more layers because it didn't help much honestly. The topsheet is not as dead as it used to be, the spin is still there, but its still slow, unboosted it was rather inconsistent either its because of my poor techneque or the bat was damaged (a reused atemi 5000 balsa carbon blade).
THIS IS MEANT ONLY FOR FOREHAND

I Used to play this RED, MAX sponge on a DHS Wind Series (5Ply) on backhand . Very spinny and speedy on that 5ply blade. Easy to play vs very tough opponents with very expensive setups.
Very GOOD BLOCKS. Very GOOD at TOPSPINS. Sensitive to spin , so it is GOOD to mid-distance play. Suitable for POLYBALL era.

I've bought this rubber because i was looking for a very tacky one, unfortunately mine was not tacky at all after a few hours of playing... I mean it was tacky only right after removing the protection film, then the tackiness disappeared completely.
It's a hard rubber, dull at first but after about 20 hours of playing it has become much better, it offers a lot of control and great spin; it is quite slow though. I use it on my forehand and I find it easy to flick and loop, however you have to use your hips and torso in your medium to far shots or the ball will land on the net.
I'm an intermediate player and I have to say that using this rubber has helped me developing my stroke, it makes me easy to recognise my mistakes since far from the table it is not forgiving at all.
I'm not sure if I would recommend this rubber because of the manufacturer inconsistency (many people say that this is one of the tackiest rubbers and mine was not at all), but for me is overall a decent cheap rubber for beginners to intermediates.

Great rubber for Rpb learners. Just heavy. I based my search for better Rpb rubbers on this. Great spin, control even close to table speed. Mid distance speed is good enough with better control. Better to use on carbon blade. Used this on DHS4006c. Rpb loop is good, block good everything feels natural for Rpb racket angle.
