The new blade played by Alvaro Robles – fine-tuned for peak performance.

Based on the wishes and demands of Alvaro Robles, runner-up world champion in men’s doubles (2019), GEWO created a perfect blade composition supporting his sophisticated and spin-oriented playing style. The blade is based on the Aruna Hinoki Carbon Off model; however, in the Robles Hinoki Ex-Carbon Off, GEWO placed the synthetic fibre layer under the top ply and not directly on the core ply. The challenge was to choose the right gluing technique to ensure that the blade is not too hard.
This modification provides for a flexible feel but, thanks to the carbon fiber, still produces the power you need to compete on the highest level.

Style: Offensive/Offensive+
Ply: 5+2
Composition: Hinoki - Carbon - Koto - Ayous - Koto - Carbon - Hinoki

Speed: 102
Control: 89
Weight 90g

Reviews of GEWO Robles Hinoki Ex-Carbon (1)

If your looking to feel the ball this one is made for you. Out of 10 blades this one you could tell your plaing if your blindfolded its that distinguishable to most other blades on the market. That being said its made for players that have incredible touch and feeling. I prefer stiff blades the harder the better so I gave it to someone at the club that this one is suited for and its his go to now. That being said I love to play it since it has such a good feeling but my style of play isnt suited for it sadly which is a bummer since the impact of the ball on this Hinoki blade is so satisfying. It even feels better on impact than the Nittaku Violin which I found interresting since the Gewo uses Carbon. Its a precise instrument with people who like to place the ball wherever they please and have the skill to do so like the Waldners of this World. ;)
