Reviews of Nittaku Moristo SP AX (4)
This SP is surprisingly forgiving and allows for spin play and mini loops. Softer than Yasaka PO which took me 2 weeks to adjust to. It is still playing well after 1+ month. My set up is Jun Mizutani ZLC with this on FH and T19 on BH.
This rubber is very different from the more famous Moristo SP (which can produce a real knuckle ball) so don't let that confuse you. Moristo SP AX is Nittaku's only horizontally aligned high-tension short pip, comparable to Victas VO>102, Butterfly Impartial XS, and Yasaka Rakza PO. Compared to those other short pips, Moristo SP AX feels a little more stable, more controlled on softer shots, and a little bit heavier (probably one of the heaviest short pips I've tried, but still pretty light compared to inverted). This is a do-all short pip with playing characteristics similar to inverted rubber. It is not bad at anything, unless you value deception and spin reversal... if those things are important to you, you probably shouldn't be using spin-oriented short pips with horizontal alignment. This is currently the forehand rubber of Japanese Youtuber and coach Yoyo Kawaguchi (search for yoyo takkyu).
gram czarna max atak przy stole z 1 strefy jest elastyszna i rotacyjna jest klopot z blokiem ale mozna uderzyc z 2 strefy i zaskoczyc przeciwnika
I have been using this ruber only for 3 weeks and I'm really surprised by the performance it offers to you, I'm currently using it on FH with a Dr. Neubauer Matador Texa and Victas V15 Limber on BH.
I have used Friendship/729 802-40, Stiga Symmetry and Nittaku Hammond FA and I can say that Moristo SP AX is really really easy to use.
It creates a surprising topspin when you want to lift the ball against backspin putting in troubles to your oponent.
When you are blocking it has just a little bit of deception, not much but it helps you to confuse your opponent.
When you smash the ball it flies really flat and fast, with a good placement your shots will be unstoppable and unpredictable and you will always win the point.
When you are putting backspin with this ball, obviously it wont have too much backspin but it helps to confuse your opponent cause the ball always flies with the same speed and it's not clear if you put too much backspin or a little bit of backspin, so its good.
