Reviews of Stiga Carbonado 245 - Chinese Penhold (3)
After 3 weeks time of practice (playing 2 days per week) to adjust my contact point, I start loving it as it give much more power than Viscaria especially in mid/long range. It gives my backhand much more power even far from the table. However it is not as stiff as Butterfly Gergely, therefore you can apply spin as well as power easily. The only down side of this blade is it is not easy to control with soft touch as it is has 200g of carbon, the hardness gives a quick response to the ball (bounce off the blade fast), therefore it is hard to control when you hit the ball soft. Overall it is an excellent blade, especially when you apply enough power to it (both loop and smash), you will surprise how much fun it is.
This 245 Is Best Blade which is very best in control & Perfect speed for Hurricane Rubbers,If you want to try the other speed Rubbers Then it is very very difficult to control the blade.I got my National Hurricane on both sides & National version carbo 245 Which is not avail in the market.This version is best for me right now.
Feel is fantastic & control is also awesome with good press play.
Ts against Ts & Long arc is good ; Ball is not at all missing.Very easy to do that.
BH is also good & BH ts has good sweet spot.
Jerk ts & lifting cut is also good & easy.
I will try with Other soft rubbers & try to post the reviews on that.
All these above points are testing with Hurricane Rubbers [BS & white sponge] on both sides.
Tested with speed rubbers;
BH-I tried Joola samba Tech & Joola Max-P
Max-P;This rubber is very hard & good speed but the blade is already too fast so This won;t suited me that much ;I am a BH Player so I need more control in my shorts & blocks so I can;t use this.But the rubber is very fine.
Samba Tech;
Now I am using only this; Fantastic rubber for BH;especially angle blocks;counters;BH roll & TS are very good with best control.Rubber has some effect too when we press little Ball is going with cut & dipping also;depends on the arc.
