Victas Ni Xialian The Legend - Chinese Penhold
Ni Xialian: The Legend Series racket was created by Ni Xialian, who turned 60 on July 4, 2023, and is still active worldwide. The Ni Xialian is an easy to grip seven-ply hardwood blade.
Ni Xia Lian won two gold medals at the World Table Tennis Championship in 1983 in Tokyo as a member of the Chinese national team. Thirty-eight years later, she won a bronze medal at the World Championship in Houston, representing Luxembourg. Ni Xia Lian has the unique penholder offensive style. Her game is a pace-changing, aggressive game close to the table, using long pimples on one side of the blade and short on the other.
She continues performing at the top level internationally at the age of 60. The blade, with its 7-ply all-wood construction, provides a unique wooden feeling and a lot of control, which allows for an offensive game at the table with any type of rubber, even long pimples! Ni Xia Lian's blade offers just enough speed and power without unintentionally "throwing" the ball excessively. It has a similar construction to the Jiang Jialiang blade (also from the Legend series), but Ni Xia Lian is significantly thinner, and therefore, it offers more control.
