PRO VERSION OF THE REVOLUTIONARY ICE CREAM AZX

XIOM's expert blade designers have found the perfect combination for players looking for different playing characteristics in one blade! Each side of the Ice Cream AZX features two special composites: ZEPHYLIUM CARBON (ZLC) and ARYLATE CARBON (ALC), each with clear distinctive performance in one blade provides the players with variety of choices during game play.

The XIOM Ice Cream AZX has a koto outer ply, a limba inner plies, and a kiri core. Sandwiched between the koto and limba plies, the AZX has an outer carbon ply of ZLC on one side and an outer ply of ALC on the other side, enabling a different playing characteristics on each side. The ALC allows for a softer, stiffer, and springier feel while the ZLC allows for a harder and more elastic feel. These outer carbon plies, combined with the koto outer, enable a very direct and crisp contact with the ball great for aggressive play. A truly special blade that allows you to tailor it to your style of play.

Reviews of XIOM Ice Cream AZX PRO (1)

Updated after playing with it for 2 weeks: Stats first as compared to the regular Ice Cream AZX blade: heavier by 3 grams out of the box. 1 mm longer and 2 mm wider. thicker handle. (all as advertised). Slightly faster on the drives and hits; more solid feeling on the blocks. interesting that the ball hits with a lower frequency then the same setup with the regular AZX. So far, feels quite good (but so does the regular AZX blade). I am playing with more control against inverted players. Trading that off in that I am more pressured against pips players as compared to the regular AZX - I feel more able to move the racket around quicker with the regular AZX but my blocks and drives are more stable with the PRO blade
