Very good blade for people building their first custom blade, great control allowing the player to perfect their spin.
This is one of those funny blades. A diamond in the rough, if you will. I prefer it over my Timo Boll ZLF at 1/4 the price. I did some direct back to back comparisons with Grubba, TB ZLF and Viscaria (all with Tenergy 05) in the fields of touch(net play), hitting/counterhitting, service, looping, driving and smash. The Grubba led the way in all tests but counter hitting and driving. This is what makes it a funny little blade. In touch shots, I could easily get double, even triple bounce drops off of the opponents serve. Yet in counter hitting, the ball would rocket off the table somewhat uncontrollably, even faster than Viscaria. Looping, the Grubba had more spin, higher arc and more control than the other 2 blades and better feeling. I would use this blade 100% of the time if I could find a rubber to calm down the counter hitting and still yield good loop results. Otherwise, this blade fits my offensive loop oriented game perfectly.
I rated the blade at a speed of 8 due to the lack of control on counter hitting using Tenergy 05. Gave control an 8 also, which would've been 9.2 had there been no hitting issue.

About two decades ago, I played my first tournament using a Grubba. Helped me keep a lot of balls into play. The lack of speed also helped my opponents return my spins back to the table.
Great for service --- seems I scored on my services more with this blade than I did with my other blades. There's noticeable vibration when blocking and the short handle took me some time to get used to.
Great, great all around blade. I think in the ALL category, the Grubba is the best I have tried so far.

If you're looking for control, its hard to go wrong with this blade. For years, the Andrzej Grubba has been a leader in allaround blades. Great for those who have just started to play competitively and those who bases their game on control.
I have been playing table tennis for about 2 years now but I am still a novice. I found that this blade was hard to adjust to at first since I came off of using crappy pre-made $40 Stiga paddles. The blade is very fast in my experience as someone who was used to low end equipment and I had trouble controlling the ball. I had a basic understanding of stroke mechanics and I practiced them a lot after purchasing this. I am glad to say that I can now handle this blade fairly well, it produces good speed and power for me. I've been using this blade for about four months now and my game has improved considerably and I hope for it to continue improving with practice over time. Overall this is a solid blade and I feel like it has lots of speed and power. (Although I'm not sure what someone who is used to higher end equipment would feel about it.)
I paired this blade with a DHS Hurricane 3 Neo on the FH and DHS TG Skyline 2 on the BH.

The control of this blade is spectacular! Actually it has the feel and the control of an ALL blade, but still with enough speed to set up your points with solid loops and finish them with smashes.
I played this blade for a couple of years, but exchanced it for a faster blade. What a mistaka di maka! Now I'm back with it and I'm delighted! So much feeling and control, all my shots landed on the table. Awesome!
I've played with blades from Donic, Skitt, Butterfly, Tibhar and Joola, but Butterfly is the best by far. Very high quality!

It is a thin and light blade for those who enjoy control style. It has vibration which is only not felt when hit with precision at sweet spots. The handle is not so appealing and appears soft to indicate its category: an all round blade. Good blade for those who start developing their styles of play.
Great, reliable and extremely controlling ALL/ALL+ blade. Cannot go wrong with it. If you have your own power in abundance, you don't need OFF blades - so pick up ALL+ or OFF- blade, and this one plays great for $45. Unless you want Hinoki plies and willing to pay double or triple the money, get it now. If you are a ALL- player with some defensive inclinations, consider this one as well.
This is a teriffic allround blade - it can do almost anything. It's a great choice for beginning and developing players. It's also a great blade for control or controlled offensive play. This blade can do it all.
It's not that slow as rated by now, it's all+ close to off-. Amazing control and feeling, very spinny. Recommended!
i really like this blade only problem with this blade just not fast but controll is amazing
This blade has alot of vibration but in a good way. As advertised a do everything blade for allrounders. Lacks real power away from table but that's not what this blade is about. Great for a controled offense close to mid distance from table. A good blade in the ALL+ class but has a cheap look to the handle design. This blade is faster than a ALL class blade it is ALL+. Pair it with Tenergys and you will have high speed, outstanding spin and superior ball feel. Perfect for just about everyone. A solid 9 overall. Update: New handle designed for 2015. Much better look and slightly thicker feel. Not fast enough?...I suggest Bryce Speed or wait for the new Bryce High Speed. Players who complain about lack of speed usually have poor technique. Update: The new handle design has a better look. This blade has a wide spectrum of possibilities. Can be a defensive blade with thin defensive rubbers, can be an allround blade for control minded players or it can be an offensive blade with fast tensor rubbers. Try a harder sponge tensor and you have fast speed with a lot of spin due to the longer dwell. Tried it with Nittaku Renanos Hold Max...looping was insane with nice speed. Butterfly's " Do All Blade".
Rated as ALL+ but probably more like ALL. Very light blade, maybe too light. Even with Tenergy 25 on fh it was pretty slow.
Nice feel overall but I was disappointed in the handle. It was quite rough and seemed too short and stubby even for my small hands. Anyone with large hands might find this blade uncomfortable.
