Very speedy rubber, I use it for backhand and works fine, gives a sensation of not hitting the ball, it is a light hit, difficult to feel it. As for smashing with the left side it is very good, hard to bounce back when after hit with power and precision. Do not recommend it to players that want to improve fast, it takes time to get used to.

Played this rubber in FH on a Grubba ALL+ for 4 months, and I just couldn't get used to it.
Low throw, good speed, medium spin.
Control seems good, but as kreanga05 said further up, it tends to get erratic in some situations, maybe due to poor feedback. It's sometimes hard to feel what you are doing, so not a rubber for developing players IMO. Maybe the hard version works better. Plays a little better on a Stiga AC.

you should use it on a fast blade like the maze off.

Updated June 12:Agree with previous reviewer who said that that most people are way too harsh. Can be had for less than price of most tensors, it is not as powerful as modern tensors but is a good rubber, those who say it has no grip are wrong, topsheet is grippy, compared to Rakza 7 this has as much grip and can produce as much spin, but better control. I can do crazy hooked sidespin loops easily with this rubber. Short game is better than Tensors (not sure why TTDB has listed it as a tensor as it isn't). Sponge is medium firm, quite bouncy compared to conventional rubbers but not in the way Tensors are. Speed and spin is considerably faster than Sriver-Mark V. Nice pop when hitting hard. Tried this on Tibhar Stratus Powerwood and M Maze, weight is 43g cut in 2.1 thickness.

If you're looking for a spinny, controllable rubber, you can't go wrong with this. I think most people here are way too harsh on it, even though it is expensive.

Not massively quick, not enough grip on the topsheet for me. A really average Butterfly rubber really, and not worth what they charge for it.

The comparison to Bryce made by other posters is a good one - imagine a slower, softer Bryce and you're almost there.

A reasonable allround rubber, but I'd rather use Sriver. Slightly slower, but more grip.

I've tried Roundell and I find it to be a little bit more like a controllable Bryce. It seems to play decently as far as spin and speed are concerned, but for the price I just don't see why you would use this when there may be rubbers that are more affordable that do almost the same things.

I use the Roundell 1.9 (i think) on my forehand. its very good for topspin play close to mid distance from the table.
however, it is not very good for lifting chops over, and becomes eratic if you dont controll it very well.
it isnt as fast as the tenergy but still very good for spin and medium power.
8/10 rating in my opinion.

I agree that it's not superfast, but if you want a good, spinny, acurate, consistant rubber thats good enough for most of us.then give it a go.The BIG BIG downside is its price.

dont know where butterfly get their ratings from for this one! I tried 2mm version on fast maize blade and was realy dissapointed, not fast at all and feels dense and heavy with no feel when topspinning the ball, i dont think this one will still be around in a couple of years time!

The Butterfly Roundell is in a sense an all around rubber in my opinion. It produces good attacks with decent spin. It's not particularly grippy, but it makes placing the ball in specific locations on the table real easy.

could do with more grip attacking chops.

I was not impressed with Rondell as it seems to have a "lost" quality among rubbers. Over priced and not up to other BTY rubbers in terms of performance or durability. I tried it on my BH. Do yourself a favor..save your money on this rubber and get a beautiful sheet of Mark V max.
