Although Sardius is always a very popular blade in my country due to it extreme speed, it is also a nightmare for intermediate player like me.
The only power of this blade is when you smash, the ball fly extremely low, fast and really difficult to return. However, modern table tennis players don't give you many chances to smash, you need to build up your loops, counter-loops, blocks, pushes, flicks and even serves. Personally, Sardius is a very inappropriate blade for learning or improving those basic strokes

This is a super fast attacking blade which I used for the past 15 years, until I switched to a slightly slower blade. This an excellent blade for young energetic players who attacks / counter attack all the time. Everytime the ball is struck, you can feel the powerful ball taking off from sardius and a joy watching its impact on your opponent.

Crazy speed.. Use soft rubber for help on the control... Best quality... Not for beginner...

Playing with this blade since 2000 year and played a lot of tournaments at my country and this blade give me soul. This is so good blade and it's too expensive for me to buy it again. If someone know some great blade like this please contact me at FB i will be glad to you. I broke it twice and twice i paste it and still play with "broken" blade :(. This blade make a fast loops and make hard block with destructive shoots. Prefer to play it with T05 best rubber for this blade you can do what you want.

I use sardius more than 10 years. And I feel happy with this blade. Powerful, High speed, Medium weight(93g for my blade), Cool & everything is good but hard to control. I reccommend soft rubbers and soft sponge. It will improve the Control.Enjoy ;)

use soft rubber to cntrol its speed

It is very fast and very hard. It better use the soft rubber to reduce speed and increase spin. But the blade is comfortable for me. When I used it, I try rubber which is Yinhe Moon Soft for Backhand and Forehand. Its feel good for me

Legendary? i don't think so, because this blade is Ultimate in Balance, meaning he can defend and offend..very best for an above average type of player.

I play this blade with Hurricane 8 and rasant powergrip.
Obviously there are less "feeling" when it is making contact with the ball. But it doesn't mean is over stiff. Issue is you cant tell whether the spin you generate is great or bad even using Hurricane 8 . But again, is doesn't mean there is no spin.
You really need to be self -confidence with your skills to master this blade.
i dont suggest this blade to any beginners or who need to judge you skills from the blade.

I recommend this blade to hard hitters, mid level players who have good judgement on serve and spin and those who want to finish the game in short.

Played with this blade decades ago. High quality blade from BTY. Speed and stiffness is outdated with the advent of tensor and glue effect rubber technology/ new blade compositions materiels This blade is simply to hard and fast for the mass of players. BTY has discontinued many blades over the years that were far superior to Sardius so it is a puzzle to me this model is still being produced. Save your money unless you are a blade collector. Very fast blocking at the table or looping from 100ft away are it's attributes. Play with 1QHD max and you can loop from Hawaii. Old school Tamca Carbon layers makes this blade a weapon and your opponents need body armour. All kidding aside I do not recommend this one even for pure power players.

The fastest blade that i ever tried. A lot of people said that Sardius is not good for player who like to spin the ball and work very well only for hitting and smashing the ball. For me, with a good combination of rubber, we can produce a good spin with sardius. You have to look for flexible rubber (FX) to reduce his hardness. I choose Butterfly Sriver G3 FX for my forehand and TSP Super Spinpips 21 for my backhand. Sardius work very ideal if you combine it with a short pips rubber.

Super fast and hard blade. Very comfortable handle. No vibration. Too fast for most players.

I found this to be an excellent blade with decent speed, however, i stopped playing with it as i wanted even more speed and got my boll tricarbon from storage. This is still an excellent blade and served me very well

My setup:
- Serial number: T 2019 made
- Weight: 96g
- FH: Xiom Vega Pro 47.5
- BH: Xiom Vega Europe 47.5

My experience with this blade:

It's increadibly easy to control, especially when working with back hand top spin. The blade practically eats into the ball and generate tons of spin, I believe it's the hinoki surface doing the work. With the thickness and softness of hinoki of this blade I feel extra confident when blocking. With Xiom Vega Europe I feel the resistance when brushing the ball. With Xiom Vega Pro I feel much less, however the ball is much quicker and the spin generated is still amazing. In short, this blade is great for its speed, control and feel. The only weakness is its thickness, which makes it hard to switch quickly between FH and BH.

This blade is perfect to play near the table and easy to make long loop from the distant. I use TEnergy 05 FX and TEnergy 80 this is perfect setup for me.

I bought it in 2006/2007 (second hand). This blade is very fast and suitable for my style. The blade surface edge is very smooth and comfortable in the hand. The best is when I use butterfly bryce in BH, amazing block and fast.
Even I use cheap rubber (KTL Pro-XP and XT), this blade is still outstanding

====

Ratings for 91g. Very stiff blade. One of the fastest blades you can get along with Schlager Carbon and Garaydia T5000. They all use tamca carbon. Very low dwell time despite softer hinoki outer plies. Core is balsa, but still pretty heavy. It is 7.0mm thick.

Very offensive blade, with T05 FH and Rakza 7 Soft BH it's good for blocking, fast return and more spin to attack, but I recommend H3 neo with no booster and thin of speed glue to give more control.

bought mine second hand but still in good playing condition. tested this and played for almost 7 hours. A little heavy , a powerful blade. I actually made an impression of liking and quite controlling this beast. pair it with Nittaku rubber Magic Carbon and Joola Samba plus. Both soft to medium sponge with soft top sheet rubber. Great for flat driving and fast ball. You have to tame its speed and use this to your advantage. Two opponents were readily notice my third ball attack. One opponent of mine was taken by surprised and it was first time I won over this player. Quite straining to my wrist since came from a light 88gms blade. But still happy with the result, judging by my wins over my opponent.

It's a very good blade. Worth buying it. Speed is magnificent and it also produces nice spin. I am currently using DHS Neo Hurricane 3 Provincial on my FH, and Donic Traction for my BH. It is a good combination, but it is quite heavy. A week ago, my Donic Traction hit the edge of the table and ripped about 3 mm wide. Should I change it with rubbers other than the Donic Traction, or should I just buy a new Donic Traction? This blade is more suited for offensive play, not defensive play.

I've been using this blade for years and its great. Im a looper and use a softer slower rubber to counter the speed of the blade. works great for me.

Very fast blocking and punching blade but isn't good for looping at all. I recommended it using soft rubber.

Attack Fastest Blade

Very fast, stiff blade and good control, there is a small amount of vibration compare to bty garaydia t5000. It is also larger than most blade on the market at 158x152mm. Lucky enough to get a light blade at 88g. I use tenergy 64 on FH and tenergy 05 on BH. I will use softer sponge/rubber in the future.

Not for newbies, tried so many rubbers now end up with a good combination of Gewo Flexxon FX and Nanoflex FT40 which best suites for power smash and control. +Improves blocking and chops.

Just bought TBS. My rubber are Sriver EL on FH dan Flextra on BH. Bought it for increasing my level of game. Played 10 games, only lost the first three. This blade is awesome, good speed on smash but still have a good control. My backhand control level also slightly increase, I was able to return smash and place it in the intended spot. Excellent.

very good racket. Suits players with big hands. Gets worn out within 1 Year 9 months, I switched to Timo Boll ALC because of that.
