Very control and speedy national PRO blade. I like it, because i can smashed all my opponents. Very good played with sticky rubbers and with Tensor rubbers too. So wonderful weight balance, i have a blade 90 grams, it is so cool.

I had high hopes for this blade because of the above ratings, but man i was wrong. This is certainly not the fastest blade on the planet as the speed is at off- maximum. Yeah, it feels good looping, but it is modest in everything else. Low throw mean smashing goes downward, block is decent but it doesn't feel crisp, flics are slow because the blade is medium in hardness. I own a Timo Boll ZLC too and compared to this the zlc is better in every single aspect... hell, this isn't even the best chinese blade, there are some all woods that i tried and were better... If you're an somewhat experienced player looking for speed, this is not it.

Very fast blade for playing a modern style attack game. Not the Version that Ma Long uses but of a similar composition for the masses. I bought this w/ provincial neo 3 blue 41 degrees on fh and prov neo orang 37 degrees on bh for fun to copy Ma Longs setup. After a few adjustments going from dignics 05 on the Backhand Id have to say Im very pleased. Monstrously fast and soft neo h3 on backhand. Softer sponge engages with a more compact stroke. The blade seems to have a flex catapult effect. Its easy to play a passive backhand counter top spin game off the table, while looking for the opportunity to attack with forehand. 10 out of 10

This blade is very fast when you hit flat, topspin and loop the ball. It has a very good control like other slower blades. Pretty difficult to loop the backspin ball on the forehand side, you have to do full swing to be able to execute the right looping shots. Topspin on the forehand and backhand side are stable like a wall. Counter topspin is like a thunder. Its a beast! I love it. So easy to use.

I changed from normal Hurricane Long 5 to this blade and I can tell you that is a totally different blade as it performs in topspin and loops, as it has less dwell time so it traduces in more direct feeling and lower throw angle, this blade is more suited for the counter loops and more difficult to loop against chop, Im talking from experience with Hurricane 3 provincial blue sponge on forehand and Hurricane 3-50 on backhand I find this a looping machine, its crazy!

it s a blade for very advanced player. i never see a fast blade like this one. you can just touch the and it goes alone in the other side. it a looping machine and you can generate a lot of spinny and fast loop. if you love speed this blade is for you. it s the Ferrari of table tennis!!!

I never played with the original HL5, so I can't compare HL5x with it.
I really like HL5x. The first thing I noticed with HL5x is its pronounced catapult effect. This feeling is similar to H301, but HL5x is faster, bouncier. Whereas H301 is thin and flexible, HL5x is thicker, with a softer outer ply. This gives HL5x very good dwell time.
I wasn't used to the catapult effect at first. But once I got used to it, I fell in love with the blade.
I use Yinhe Big Dipper on FH and Donic Acuda S1 turbo on BH. I highly recommend this blade. Very few blade has such a good balance between control and speed. The sweet spot is also very large and gives consistent bounce throughout the playing surface.

I upgraded to this version from the regular HL5 and this one is a lot better. The handle is thicker and a slight more boxy (still fairly round) which makes the grip more comfortable. The head size is also a bit smaller and this makes the rubber surface area a bit smaller as well, making the balance of weight a bit more balanced rather than being very head heavy. It is just overall a lot lighter in weight compared to the old HL5 which I appreciate. My total setup (H3N and 05fx) is ~185g.
