I absolutely love this blade. I'm currently using it in penhold with h8-80 on both sides. There is plenty of speed and control in the blade but the hinoki outer allows me to scale power very well. Granting the ability for a wide range of quality shots. There is a bit less dwell time than other blades, so prioritize rubbers that have that naturally. Very bouncy rubbers cause the all blade characteristics to not show. I'd say this blade can shine in any range from table considering the control, but gives the biggest advantage close to mid range from table. Where the hinoki can soak up any pressure and redirecting rather the ball I'd a breeze.

The blade is hard to find a rubber that matches it while allowing all shots to be played at a good level. With faster rubbers touch shots and slower topspin are possible but was very difficult to get the same quality as other blades. Since the blade has a lot of speed and control, slower rubbers shine. Since I like tackies rubbers this would be the h8-80. It's the most consistent and deadly combo I've found so far.

The best table tennis racket is amazing. Strong attack, very balanced defense and controls create a very stable feeling. Worth the money spent.

This is a blade I am conflicted about.
On the paper, it has everything I appreciate: a thick hinoki layer and PBO. Those are my favorite materials. Beautiful construction.
But when I had it in my hand, I didn't like the weight, the thickness, the handle (very wide at the base).
It took me a long time to find a good rubber to match. I tried V>22, V>15, VJC>07, H3-50, Vega Europe, Vega Japan, MX-P, Quantum X pro, K3, and hated playing with all of them...
But I wanted to like this blade so hard that I kept trying.
Tibhar Speedy Spin 1.0 was a pleasant match, the light and thin sponge compensated for the thick and heavy blade. It offered an amazing control and feedback, but it was VERY slow (Speedy Spin isn't speedy anymore in the age of P-ball). My usual partner just laughed at my shots.
Now I have found a good combo with Nittaku Hammond Z2, I have only played a couple of hours but the results are encouraging. I will update my review according to my findings.

Coming from a Andro Treiber Z this blade has amazing touch around the net and much control/feeling but you still have reasonable power from mid-distance. As someone else below the line has stated this should be great for playing against the awkward sods for the short game. The Victus Extra Ventus plays really sweetly in combination with this blade. So I naturally suggest it is better to pair with harder rubbers although i confess haven't used a softer rubber.

Beautiful blade and highly recommend this blade to any style of player. Blades with hinoki outer plies are so wonderful to play with. The early pioneers of table tennis knew then the amazing feel and control of using hinoki wood and it still stands true today. Most older style hinoki type blades seem a bit too soft and slower for the modern ball now but Joola has done an incredable job with this blade and am extremely impressed with this blade. You need discipline and technique to be good at this game and this blade delivers it in truck loads. Those high end high priced butterfly blades have been tried and are good for playing against power to power styles but are very average against players who like to play slower and play those weird semi defensive styles, you know the ones that mess with your head and refuse to give you any power back at you so stay away from those butterfly blades and get yourself a joola nobilis pbo-c. Thankyou Joola your technical people should be very proud of themselves for delivering this blade.

An outstanding Blade. Coming from a Donic Carbo system off minus i tried various blades to compensate the new poly ball. I tryied Butterfly viscaria, viscaria light, Butterfly Zhang Jike, Donic Ovtcharov true carbon, Donic Waldner world champion 89...nothing worked. But Joola Nobilis immediately worked for me. Outstanding control, perfect in short play, you can play VERY short with it. Good sping and high arc in top spins. Very fast and hard when you play modern countertops near to the table. Excellent feeling in serves and returns. Perfect control in block play. I use Dawei Inspirit on backhand and Tibhar Quantum pro soft on forehand. I play low class in Germany, allround and Offensive style. Since i play this blade i win and win and win...
By the way, the blade has exact the same plies as Donic carbo system off plus but seems to differ in the carbon pliy. Donic used kevlar. But those blades feel identical, Donic is a little bit lighter because of smaller measures, therefore faster but not as hard in play as Joola.

88 grams blade. Weight leans towards mid head of racket. Stiff and soft. Played with several setups. For more control, I enjoyed Golden Tango PS and Omega V Euro. If you want more speed and arc was T05 and D80. My favorite iteration is the MX-S 2.0 on both sides. Medium arc and plenty of spin and much more control. Total weight is 187 g. Looping, easy but can overshoot if you put out too much power, compact strokes are required but are very spinny and direct with the well balanced clearance above the net. Blocking/countering is a breeze with almost no effort required and more direct and speed can be varied with much ease. Short game/touch/serve and receive are very pleasant and no carbon kick when receiving. Very soft and spinny touch allowing for short and long spinny pushed along with openings as well. Flipping/opening bananas was more difficult due to thickness but with sufficient technique and allowing the ZLC to kick in with a mild acceleration and compact swing it worked. Countering is easy as it doesnt require a lot of work but a well executed compact stroke emphasising spin as the ZLC kicks once there is a certain power input/output. Lobbing/fishing is easy. Overall thoughts, the thickness of the blade demands a forehand style dominant game for power loopers or hitters. It can be two winged if sanded down to allow more head movement for BH strokes. Spin is still dominant but tends to make the game feel faster because of its kick effect. Little to no vibration and a mid high ping with certain rubbers. ZLC kicks in at a certain point. YOU must have a compact and adequate technique that does not swing wildly for this blade to work. It holds the ball and springs it back out and you must guide the ball. Those who have loose shoulder technique must either tame the swing speed or try a slower racket. One of the best blades available for those wanting a lower arcing spinning power looping blade with laser accuracy and above average control for its speed.

I thought for a long time whether I should withdraw or correct my last review! - but since 2 days ... !!!
UPDATE: Unfortunately I can only rate this blade (after the DOTZ test) without rubbers, but I can say with a clear conscience that this blade is definitely faster and stiffer than generally rated!
Their structure is very reminiscent of an inner layer blade. - the two outer veneers are roughly as thick as the two outer layers of an inner layer blade !!!
The feeling when the ball hits the blade is medium hard and the ball return is rather mediocre. From this it can be concluded for me that it should only deliver a decent performance in connection with rubbers above 47.5 degrees hardness!
You may now be wondering why I am writing a review in the first place. - very easy! I bought a "clone" in China (via AliExpress), but in the end it is not a clone at all.
This replica, sold by Stuor, has a different veneer structure and is called Nobilis SZLC (Review under "no brand"). This blade is slightly slower and plays more directly (... is therefore more versatile when it comes to the rubber selection!), As it is a little harder overall.
CONCLUSION: with a price of only 44 Euro (50 Dollar), the Stuor replica is very likely (- for most!) the much better choice.

I came from a Donic Waldner Dotec Carbon, which is a great blade, but I wanted a little more speed. After seeing the Nobolis PBO-C on YouTube (being tested by Dan) I thought Id give it a try.
I used it with Joolas rubber Rhyzer Pro 50 sponge as did Dan. Very good but the dwell on my bh was too quick. I switched to Dignics 80, and I now have a fantastic blade. FH loops with the Rhyzer Pro are fast with, plenty of spin, speed, and a good arc to clear the net. On BH the Dignics gives me the dwell time I need to do banana flicks, blocks, and loops. Actually thinking of putting Dignics 80 on both sides, as this rubber seems to suit this blade so well,

I bought this blade as a gift for my wife for valentine's day along with Joola Rhyzer Pro 50 on both sides. The blade itself and rubber are of supreme quality. However, I am giving 3 star rating due to a couple of things. First, the blade is supposed to come in a nice looking metal case as is shown by several reviews of the blade on YouTube. Unfortunately, mine just came in a standard cartoon case. Second and more importantly, the red rubber on the back hand side is not glued properly and you could see big bubbles in the edges of the blade. The assembly was poorly done and I had hoped Megaspin would do a better job with that, especially that this blade-rubber combination came with a pretty high bill.

Fantastic blade with a beautifull control and very fast. The handle is perfect and the blade is very well balanced. Mine is 82 grams and 170 grams with fastarc g1 and xiom vega europe in bh. I really recommend this blade to anybody who can afford the price.

Nobilis PBO
Speed: off to off+
Weight: 80 grams
Thickness: 7mm
Plies: 5 (hinoki - ZL carbon - kiri)

Joola Nobilis PBO blade

This is one of the first few Joola blades I have gotten to review for a very long time - this and the other PBO blades. The Nobilis is the only hinoki outer ply blade in the series and it is also the most controllable blade. I thought this was the fastest since it has the typical hinoko-zl carbon composition. It is very light and the handle is very comfortable. The hinoki on its outer plies is kinda think at 1.2mm and its quality is almost as good as a kiso hinoki. The blade has a smooth but not slippery surface. Let me also add that the shape of the head is like a semi-egg shape blade head. The shape is not as profound as some of the old Waldner blades that are egg shaped but the end of the head is somehow tapered.

On the bounce test, the ball does not bounce that high and also the sound has a lower pitch indicating this is a controlled blade. It has a *thok* sound which has a middle high pitch. I thought this was the fastest blade in the PBO series but I was wrong. This is more like a controlled looping blade as indicated by its medium height bounce. When I first got the chance to hit with it I was surprised because it was not too bouncy. I would put the blade’s speed somewhat in the level of Michael Maze. It has ZL carbon on it but the speed was just enough. In fact, the speed is there but you will not expect something like that of the super ZJK or Amultart. It is fast enough but the control of the blade is the one that overwhelms your sensation that you can sometimes mistake it as an OFF blade and not an OFF+ blade because of its control. I am not a fan of hinoki blades but the Nobilis is one hinoki blade that I can make an exception. A lot of people I know do not like using a Chinese rubber on a hinoki blade but with the Nobilis

The blade is overwhelms you with good hand feedback or feel. You will not mind the above average speed because of the feel that it gives you is so pleasant. You cannot feel any bad vibrations on the blade. The blade is very light at 80 grams and every swing is easy to do even with a heavy rubber like Rhyzer 50 on one side and Golden Tango on the other side. The blade when combined with the Tango and Rhyzer 50 gives you a long trajectory with a medium arc. The blade’s performance is best at close to the table and middle distance. At far distance, you could feel the power diminish if you just use above averaged speed rubbers. If you want to go on that distance, you would need very fast rubbers like Rhyzer 48. To most people the Nobilis is more than enough since the speed is still above average but with a well compensated good feel and control. The Energon and Zelebro blades are much faster than the Nobilis but control and performance are much better for a lot of non professional players. For most of the players, I think I can safely say this is the one to choose because f its high level of control.

I decided to test the Nobilis after suggestion coming from a team mate. Amazing! I feel amazed! I am coming from a Timo Boll ALC but here I feel a bit more speed, the same even if not better control, but above all the touch with the ball, probably due to the Hinoki, is so brilliant and so confortable. I play an attacking game, trying to have lot of spin on the first balls and trying to close the point after. I feel more confident with this blade, I feel somehow "lighter" in my game, I trust I can block easier, I can play with more consistency my attacking shots, I feel the blade lighter in my hand. I am really amazed!

Fast and very good control, I love it! Good feeling, I can do almost everything I want. A little bit expensive, you need good skills to control it. I use 45 degrees rubbers. 47.5 are too fast for me.

I own all the good , and popular blade , last blade Zjk super zlc, Jun super zlc,all garaydia series ,timo ball series all the donic top blade, nittaku andro , Xiom Vega Tour,Xiom Fell zx2 and other.
but now I only play with three blade Donic waldner legend carbon , Garaydia zlc and this new Joola Nobilis!!!
Nobilis is almost same speed with Donic Walder carbon but with extra spring just like tensor rubber compare with non tensor rubber.
Very good you can feel the spring feel of the carbon which I cant never felt before.
The blade ply is quite same construction compare with Garaydia zlc but the core is thinner but the top hinoky is thicker and thickness is same 7.1 mm
Control is ok , you can block with safe. Smash is ok
Try it and you can fell the tensor blade, anyone if you try this blade please give your reviews compare with mine reviews
