Verry good rubbber for new plastic 40+ ball.No sensitive to incoming spin, low trajectory when hit with power, good control, easy blocking against spin and spin drive.Easy to play short balls and prepare to attack.Rubber is light and durrable.Very good for short and middle distance flat hitting.Moderate spin but good balance.
speed is good.but for me the low throw angle was a buzz kill.good for smashing though.
Note that this review is of speed glued Hammond on a 5 ply Off- wood blade.
I wanna glue! I've been struggling to find a no-glue forehand rubber that agrees with me. I broke down and glued up a sheet of Hammond just to see if I was imagining how good the "good old days" really were.
I wasn't! Glued up Hammond is fast, plenty spinny enough, loud, has great feel, all the gears, and a silly amount of control. It is super easy to counterloop with, loop from close or far, block with, flip, counter, and smash with. There are rubbers that push and serve better, but it is better than adequate here too.

I had the Hammond Max on both my FH & BH, using Nittaku Septear 7 ply Hinoki blade.
Initially, when I moved to Septear and Hammond setup, I was still developing my strokes, and game. Since then, I have switched and learn other strokes.
My style of play is predominantly BH, and i have a stronger BH than FH.
The rubber is definitely really good for BH as it really block well, and fast. It is good for smashing, drive but it really lack the bite for spins. Even though it was not tacky, it performed fast enough for me. Then, I started to try looping. It was barely passable as a looping rubber.
When I tried DHS Skyline 3 as a BH rubber, it add a lot more spin to my BH loop and the topspin loop/ hook really become a very tricky combo in my game, but it lack the Hammond sponge response that I like in a BH rubber.
As a FH rubber, it was not that effective as I could not loop much with it, though it was fast and good to drive and smash with, it is not useful when you encounter players who are faster than you. But with a tacky rubber, you can play the faster players because I added spin and deception into my game, especially during service.
Compared to Hurricane series (my current setup), it lack the bites in looping and doing tricky spin shots and especially when you are serving. I became much unplayable to some players after the switch to Hurricane, and my service has become one of my strong point too.

I used this on my coaches bat and loved it, it was very powerful and was a perfect forehand for me.
Comparing to bryce
Price: Bryce<Hammond
Speed: Bryce<Hammond
(With normal glue for both)
I would reccomend this rubber for people who smash alot and fh chop... :P
(Sorry if you dissagree this is my opinion)
EDIT I don't reccomend using speed glue.. as I glued mine today with speed (Black 2.2mm)

Good rubber for players and quick with great control.
Very fast for beginners, requires control and great command of technique.
