My overall rating is 8.5 because I think this deserves to be used as a training rubber. For this purpose, I can't think of a better option for the money.
Training rubbers should be cheap, consistent, durable, but with enough spin and control to develop good technique.
Case in point, when my work got a table over 2 years ago, I immediately organised 4 rackets for everyone to use, instead of the $5 jobs that came with the net.
I went with ALLround blades to keep it slow (I would otherwise recommend Off+ blades, no matter what, for Super FX), however, those who haven't played are still somehow surprised by the rebound.
The mildly tacky surface disappeared within months of office abuse and zero cleaning, which made virtually no difference given that we don't bother to brush loop that much in the office. However, there's more than enough mechanical grip to get the job done, even after 2 years, if you want...
With the slower blade, I have many people in my office enjoying the game, gaining in consistency, and even becoming decent players; there are even a few who have never played before enjoying themselves.
Yet, those of us who play regularly can still have lots of fun putting on a decent show for everyone (and there are no equipment-based excuses afterwards, either)!
Thus, I highly recommend this rubber as just about the best trainer for new players or kids, because it's virtually disposable at this price, yet has the playability necessary to build a strong foundation.
Final thoughts: firstly, don't underestimate the Super FX. Secondly, pair it with the fastest blade within your budget. Then, you can upgrade with better rubbers once your game develops (or your kids grow up and stop scraping the table).

Excellent all around rubber. My only disappointment is its overall durability. However, at its price point, that is an easy issue to get over.
Cheap. Worth the money, sort of like Hurricane 3 but slower and slightly less spin but with better control and slightly lower throw angle.
Costs 10 bucks at most, try it if you like harder tacky rubbers.

A terrible rubber for attackers. It's super dead and completely non-tacky from the red sheet I got the black sheet may be different but I only used a red sheet. The throw angle is very low I like low throw rubbers but this particular rubber throwing effect is quite weak and the arc is quite flat. I recommend this rubber for choppers because the control is quite good, its not very sensitive to spin and the sponge is quite soft with no catapult effect. I don't recommend this rubber for any other playing style!

I've been really happy with this as someone who is just getting going with table tennis who needed something inexpensive to learn with. The rubber has really nice grip and gives you some good spin and responsive action using basic, solid technique. Would definitely recommend it for new players.
Got mine on Max Black on orange sponge and tested it on a ALL 5ply wooden blade. It's a faster rubber than i expected, both the sponge and top sheet are very hard. it's quite difficult to brush the ball to do a controlled topspin or BH flick if you're a beginner or recreational player. I was expecting it to be tacky so I could use it for BH chopping but it isn't at all. The rubber is heavy and the built quality is excellent, the sponge doesn't crumble and the topsheet doesn't crack around the edges or unglues from the sponge so it should last for a long time. I'm ok with the sponge hardness, but the hard unsticky topsheet is not suitable for my style. I recommend this rubber for beginners and intermediate players with an agressive style who play close to the table with hard flat hits on FH
Not a bad rubber, but I don't personally like it. As I am an upper beginner I have rather a small field of comparison. I can compare it only to my old premade bat and some other cheap rubbers. It has far more kick and better spin than my old premade bat, but it pales in comparison with other available rubbers. For my taste, they are just too soft and not spinny enough. It's good place to start, but I would recommend them only to players who are just starting their table tennis adventure. Compared to their European soft counterparts they seem to forgive fewer errors. During the first hour of training, I got more balls in the table with old and used Donic Quatro A'conda than with Super FX.

Put in on a flexible blade like Stiga allround classic and it is a really good rubber with very low Price. Godly rubber. Play it in forehand. Because you have so much control with THE Blade and rubber you can hit harder and harder and which gives high Speed and spin, just focus on technique.
Yes its cheap but unless you're a beginner I found this rubber of little quality. It's hard and bouncy which makes control difficult and hashardly any spin. Looping is very difficult especially when faced with even moderate backspin. Certainly not one for intermediate or better players.
Fast for the room I was playing in. Very heavy too, put it on both sides of an old blade I had which was way more balanced with the previous rubber so that could be on me.

made for boosting.when unboosted :very hard sponge with low throw angle,medium distance play is very difficult.I applied 5 layers of Falco and rubber is really very good now.Having played with hurricane 3 neo and skyline tg2 before,i say after boosting it is identical to these.However plays like a rock when unboosted,be warned.
I have been using a lot of more expensive rubbers but Always end up prefering this One. Probably i think i am better then i am. Filled with enough Speed and spin for me. Easy to play against backspin and playing loopes far from table is a breeze. I am using fh red 2,2 and bh black 2,0. Think this rubber is suited for beginners to very demanded platsers!
The rubber produces much spin, but it pruduces little speed (for me). So, when I do a loop, it's very spinny, but it's slow. However, it maybe good for BH, but it's bad for FH. It's good for flick and have enough spin for serves. The tackiness reduces very fast but it still easily dirty.
How U can give this rubber speed over 7 in overall ? With what did U compare >? It's very slow rubber. I have Donic Coppa Platin Soft X2, Donic BlueFire M3 and they are much faster. Even pips i was trying Thibar Grass DTecs are faster!
this rubber is unbelievable, the spin is really "SUPER", the ratings you see posted are very accurate, I am a Tenergy 05 user and I love it, but after months of contemplation I used this rubber and I can confirm that the spin is the same, of course it's significantly slower plus there is no spring, but there is absolutely no shot that is too slow and you can easily return heavy underpin with loads of topspin and with the control you just cannot get from any spring sponge, so it comes down to style, but this rubber really has no fault, it's MUCH better than their Battle rubber - it has a lot more spin and still some more control.... I can't understand why it isn't more popular, I've used lots of expensive rubbers and this is definitely my 2nd favorite, T05 is addictive, I will buy a lot more and stick to it, eventually my T05 will die out and it's just not 10 times better than this. If this rubber cost more, i would give it 4 stars, but at this price it is definitely a 5 star, so much more than I expected from a Chinese rubber

I actually put this on a mini blade, both sides, and plays surprisingly well given that fact. I have had a chance to use it on a full-sized blade though and it feels very slow. Playing away from the table is difficult. It's plenty tacky though, so serves are spinny, as are loops. You just have to put a lot of effort into your shots. It ain't bad. You could put this on a cheap blade and have a decent racquet that matches up to quite a few pre-made ones.
I am an avid recreational player who also competes at local or provincial tournaments. I have been playing with these rubbers for 3-4 months. I bought them because they where cheap and had high ratings. These are good rubbers in regard to power and spin generation while looping. Excellent choice for counter punchers on budget. They are a tad heavy which I personally have no problem with as it gives more control. The only downside in my opinion is that they are very sensitive to incoming spin. This makes game frustrating for me while playing against loopers and spin-servers.
I stopped using it after a week. Its hard topsheet and hard sponge on a hard blade made the dwell time practically zero. No spin, no grip. The ball was falling off the blade. Very low throw angle. Only good for blocking. It might work better with a flexible blade. I might got a fake one. Bad rubber even for beginners. If you are on a budget, try Yinhe or Palio rubbers instead
Good for blocking, countering and pushing... it is possible to generate a lot of backspin while at the same time the rubber is not too sensitive to incoming spin due to the hard sponge... Topspin attackers should look somewhere else.

Very good beginners rubber, very tacky, not too fast or too powerful. I had it as my first rubber, it lasted for about six months, but it's a good rubber for helping you get into the game.
I was really blown away when i played with this rubber in backhand. Absolute control rubber and its very cheap. only costs Rs.850 in India. I love to play backhand top spin and take initiation in the game. And this rubber has provided me with it. Push will be difficult at times as the throw angle is high but at the same time it you get used to chop it then no one can counter hit. A must for beginners/intermediate players. Perfect control and brilliant amount of spin. Overall 9/10
First of all this is very cheap rubber and it is worth much more than you'll pay for it. It is not so slow as you might think, spin is ok and control is the best. I'm currently using 1.5 mm sponge and it is just fine. Black rubber with blue sponge is better for forehand. It is quite subtle distinction but it is there. I am two wing looper and loops are easy to perform with my Donic Appelgren Allplay Senso V2 - racket gives medium-high throw. Pushes are great also, blocking is fine but not too dangerous for your opponent. Rubber is medium tacky and a bit heavy but it doesn't bother me much. I' m using mostly Friendship rubbers. Considering the price and quality, buying 10-15 times more expensive rubbers is a waste of money for a recreational player.
Edit: after some time playing with this rubber (now I use 1.8 mm), I still think it is bang for the buck. Maybe just a little slow for match game and not the best for countering topspin. But hey, it costs about 4-5 $

Very Good Rubber! best for moderate level players, very compatible to any kinds of blades in the table tennis market.
When i glued this rubber to my blade and started to play i just said: WOW! Maybe not very fast but comparing to the price it's an amazing rubber. What i really love with this rubber is pushing. I can get so much backspin! (i use it on bh) When blocking it works but it's hard to do a "perfect" block because the sponge doesn't have really much power, u just have to punch your racket forward to block harder. When i'm blockig i like to take a step away from the table and just put the ball back. So maybe that was a reason for why i didn't really couldn't get in on it first. But when i blocked directly after bounce it was a bit easier.

This is a classic Chinese style tacky top-sheet with very firm sponge. The sticky surface makes it easy to impart lots of spin in serves. It is also very sensitive to incoming spin. This may or may not be a good thing. It forces one to be very alert to what the opponent is doing and to respond appropriately. It is easy to loop, chop and push with this rubber. Control is good. Excellent for 3rd ball attack and close to table play. It may be somewhat lacking in loop to loop rallies. When I use it on the FH, I prefer to hit drive the ball into the sponge in order to get speed and control. Hits/drives and loops give a crisp ball impact sensation. There is no catapult effect, so for speed and penetration, there must be good body/stroke mechanics. Hence, it is a good training rubber. The spin can be very high Compared to the latest tensors, it is slow and not lively. Often, players who use this rubber put it on a blade with some flex. Playing away from the table requires much effort. The rubber is cheap and durable.

I am (and will always be) using this cheap but high quality rubber of Friendship 729. The Super FX is quite similar to the GeoSpin Tacky and to the RITC 729. It is a very durable rubber, it could last more than the usual playing hours, unlike other rubbers that could easily wear off. This rubber is not good for beginners though, since it needs an attention of tons of training and getting used to. It matches perfectly with Friendship 729 blades and I use this on both my FH and BH. The feeling of it in the Forehand is quite powerful, especially when its newly cleaned and its tackiness is maintained. It can create tremendous spin, especially when you use some services that consume a lot of spin for the opponent to rebut. Unlike other rubbers, it has a hard sponge which is not the same when it generates its control against rubbers with soft spong!

A rubber I have experimented with, it is one of those that literally grips the ball and imparts maximum spin. Unfortunately it requires a straight arm chinese style loop technique for maximum ultilization and in the end my technique prefers european or japanese topsheets and sponges. The spin on serves is amazing but of course, you have to be great at reading spin to return opponent's serves with this rubber. A double edged sword, but a good rubber for spin lovers.
Good rubber for beginers, cheap and longlasting. Tackines on black rubber last much longer than on red side, as well as all chinese rubbers. 2.2 shown to be good for spin returning but my opinion is that it could be tackier to be at in class of Butterfly Tackines D or C rubbers. My expirience with it isn't very pleasant so I recommend for first rubber LKT proXP.

You can do just about anything with the right stroke using this rubber, and it lasts a very long time if you clean it immediately after every use. I recommend very firm wipes with damp (water only) silk.
If you are an olympic player you'll benefit from a faster rubber, but for those who are good, but not great, it is great all round rubber, allowing control enabling counter attack. It is reasonably fast, tacky, spinny but control is its strength for me. I keep coming back to it despite having plyed competitively with a wide range of rubbers of faster and tackier properties. I would recommend it for players of all ages and abilities until you realise your potential. Then you may or may not stick with it. It is also easy to relace as price is low. Have used on fast and slow bats with good effect- recommended- but allthough there are numerous types of 729 the superfx or supersoft are the ones I prefer.
I don't have a lot to compare this rubber to but out of the rubbers I've tried other rubbers (several $30+ rubbers) but this one I felt a great deal of spin and control and was not slow at all. I didn't rate these above because I don't feel I've used enough rubbers but I do think this is a solid rubber.
for me this seemed like it would suit a heavily offensive player, not myself. put it on a 729 bomb, which made it so i could barely hit the ball and it would easily fly across the table. not so good for defending, too hard of a sponge. great rubber for someone who is offensive and knows how to maintain great control, but just not for me as im more an allround player

The best for maximum rotations: in 1.5 in defence, or in max for attack. excellent rubber and excellent value for money!
