Hellfire X OX. Superb rubber in almost every aspect! There`s only one problem: after only 4 days of hard training, pips started to fall off. I tried another rubber (I bought two of them): same problem.

I’m an equipment junkie, and as such have tried many combinations of OX long pips and paddles. Don’t be like me….just skip the journey and buy this OX LP. It does everything you ask of it extremely consistently, it’s specialty is the chop block but it is tremendously capable of chopping for a no sponge LP. I use this pip with the Unicorn blade from Sauer & Troger and it is a match made in heaven, because the blade and pip were developed together and have harmony. One sheet lasted me about a year before a couple pips broke. This is the only pip I will be playing with from now on.
First LP rubber I played seriously. I can't really compare with other pimples but I really like it. Control is just 'good' but it has very good deception. My opponents have a lot of trouble reading the spin and trajectory of the ball. It can chop well too, a little hard to control but a lot of backspin. For attacking it is possible but needs very good technique. Not the easiest rubber but it has a lot of options. Durability seems okay after 5 weeks, not 1 pip is broken
Before posting any review, I think every table tennis player should list their level of experience, their rating if they have one and experience with other equipment. I have read reviews about so many table tennis products. Some people say this rubber is for defensive play and chopping only. Some people say this rubber is terrible for chopping. They can't both be right. Or perhaps they're both right and they're both wrong because neither of them blisted their skill level or years of experience. I think new players should definitely list that because they're reading a product that offers performance far above their abilities, which is why they give it a poor rating and incorrect assessments. I have been playing table tennis for 55 years. My usat rating about 30 years ago was around 1,990, I have played with, tested and tried well over 10 different types of long pips and hundreds of sheets of inverted, rubber and blades etc. This long pimple rubber due to its unique pimple structure and the white space between the pips really is to someone with my skills and abilities. Very user friendly, very stable, very controlled and predictable. I can loop with it both backhand and forehand although these loops by themselves are not very effective considering that these are long pips, but sometimes they can be surprising and throw my opponent's timing off. It's all in the hands of the user. I have used it on three different blades and it performs equally well on all of them. Cho to anyone who says that you cannot attack with this rubber or you cannot do this or you cannot do that with it. Please qualify your statement and say this is an opinion from somebody who is rated 1200 because you're doing a diss service to the table tennis equipment. One of my coaches beat one of his students using his cell phone instead of a table to this racket. So it's not just the equipment but the skill of the player. I have given my equipment to my coaches and they play with my rackets at least 100 times better than I do. The equipment I use is much better than I am as a player due to my age. So I try to be careful about issuing statements that this type of equipment or that type of equipment sucks for anything. One of my coaches ended up looping with my anti. I tried it and I couldn't do it. That does not mean that the rubber is bad. It just means I'm not good enough to use it in that manner. This rubber some spin reversal. It has a little bit of deception but that is not why I bought it. I bought it because it controllable steady and predictable. You cannot have it both ways. Either. The long pips rubber will very deceptive with heavy spin reversal. But then it will be very hard to control and unpredictable for you, not just your opponent. Or it will be very easy for you to control and very predictable but it will not be deceptive and it will not have heavy spin reversal.
I have mine since March 2023, a red ox, and put it in a donic defplay senso v3. The hardness is medium-to-soft, the control is superb; I believe the defplay senso and S&T Hellfire X are meant to be together. My friends hate it because it gave them many problem. I can handle the ball from the other players who use the processed long pips ox. I can attack using Hellfire X too; the ball is fast and with no spin and not many people can handle it. All in all, I love it. I would like to try the sponge version in the future.
The downside of S&T Hellfire X, since it's kinda soft, you don't want to hit the table with it. I got mine torn in the first 5 minutes I play with it. Thank God it's only at the edge of the rubber (I only lost 1-2 pips) so it is much still usable. The other pips are good; not 1 pip fell down so far. I really recommend people to use this rubber on a def blade.

BEST LONG PIMPLE EVER!!!! I started using it on Koji Matsushita defense blade but I didnt have any control. I was about to give up in Hellfire X but then I decided to put in on my Diode V blade, and it was a GAME CHANGER. The Blade do everything for you, all the balls go inside the table, you can feel save and have 100% of control of the ball when chopping far from the table. Im a classic defender and I have never experience so much security. I love it!!!
favorite overlay, why? because the effect and unpredictability are at a high level, while maintaining the ability to control the game and strain the opponent even away from the table, although not as effective, it is still dangerous for the opponent, on the table the game is very good and pleasant for the user and insidious for the opponent , in the version without a sponge, they are highly respected for me, a worthy overlay, it requires some skills in the game, but its not difficult and real to make branded hits and pushes in place.
