I use a Primorac OFF+ blade with Dr Evil with .5 mm (sponge that I put on myself), and have Tibhar super defence 40 .5mm sponge on the forehand. Finally my forehands are going in instead of flying off the end all the time. With 2mm sponge I just cannot feel any dwell time, so I went to .5 mm sponge on both sides, and now can feel the dwell time on my bat. The forehand is a touch slower but quick enough to hit winners. It has a lot of control and has given me the confidence needed on my forehand, which has been a weakness. I am happy with this rubber.

I am reviewing the thin versions 0,5 and 0,9. With proper stroke you can make deadly under spin. Great for hitting but difficult to perform topspin. The blocks are deceptive and hard to be returned by the opponents.Despite its name, is a very efficient allround backhand rubber. As I said above, except topspin the rubber excels in all other kind of strokes.
Fort a defensive rubber and the soft one this is a wonderful BH rubber sheet offering high spin and speed without being too tacky or even a pimples out sheet. It is a very good sheet and one worth trying.
The Super Defence is not only a rubber for cutting defence. It´s really interesting for players blocking near thr table. It´s not as soft as most defensive rubbers. When you are blocking, the ball falls down really early, so it`s not so easy for your opponent.
I have an unusual set up that includes Tibhar super Defense 40 in 0.5 sponge on the F/H side of a Stiga Carbokev blade (very fast F/H, medium fast B/H).
The spin is astounding, including on serves if a brushing stroke is used and there is a low kick on topspin shots from long range, off a low trajectory and it is very easy to place and control the ball from well back from the table. Off a control or a defensive blade you would need a more vertical stroke.
Chopping requires some practice but when mastered produces heavy spin and a braking effect. Blocks can be played short with a soft hand action or long with some punch and will keep low, but probably not the best rubber for close to the table players. Serves can either be returned with a controlled push or flipped easily as the rubber has plenty of bite even though it is not very tacky.

this rubber is for the versatile defencive player. in 1.0 this rubber is good for countering highspeed shots. very spinny, with a thin topsheet. is actually super defence 40, not super 40 defence. plays similar to gambler reflectoid.
