Very light balsa carbon blade with a dominant carbon feeling. Balsa is probably only there for the exceptionally light weight, the blade does not really exhibit other balsa- like traits. The throw is more on the lower side and the ball leaves the blade in an instant, providing speed but limiting spin. Blocks and counters are stone cold sober strong and lightning fast with reasonably offensive rubbers, smashes may suffer somewhat from the feather weight of the blade. This is no blade for defending or chopping, but a close-to-the-table-attacker who only takes a step away to close in for the kill again will find it an interesting and viable choice.

Without a doubt this is a blade for someone who plays a very controlled offensive game who ALSO requires a very LIGHT setup. When you assemble this blade with light rubbers because of injury or just plain feeling, this is the blade for you ! I have tried it because of a bicycle fall and injured my wrist and needed something lighter so it would not be as painful. The final setup and I play with Ten05 (FH) and Spinpips (TSP) on the BH, gave me a 22g lighter setup, which was pretty amazing. The feeling is quite remarkable for a blade with Balsa, the carbon plies provide you with a less fluffy feeling and it gives you a nice "cracking" ball feeling on contact providing you with speed and great counter capabilities. Straight drives are also possible with this blade and Ten05. Playing with pimples is quite great, although I am going to get the setup tested very soon by a master with short pimples - Zengyi Wang.

This is the first and only balsablade Ive tried. Due to problems with my shoulder I wanted to try playing a lighter bat. Was a little bit suspicious about the balsa feeling I had red about. The first time i tried it was i nice surprise. It felt very similar to my Treiber Z, just much lighter. A crisp feeling and almost no vibrations. I cant think there is a better balsablade. Its lightness makes the moves off my arm from right to left a bit faster (without hurting my shoulder). It is powerful and fast close to the table. Away from table its lightness makes it a bit harder to strike powerful countershots. I like this blade but my shoulder is better so I am back playing with my Treiber Z witch I prefer.

Very unhappy. Compared to my innerforce ALC this blade was a step down & made my game weaker. Very little to no spin. What attracted me to it was the lightweight of only 65 grams & it was on sale. I would return it if possible bc im not hoing to use it & im purchasing another butterfly which are far superior.
