I have been playing on this table for 2 months now so i thought i owed a review. ive been playing league table tennis for 8 years on butterfly joola and stiga tables FWIW. i chose this table because when put away, this table takes up less room than any other table on market. building it took me about an hour and a half cause i wanted to be slow and make sure i didnt make any mistakes (measure twice, cut once). the tabletop is not HDF like most tables. i dont see any difference in bounce on this table, and there is an even and consistent sound from corner to corner with no drum effect. the stock net can be easily replaced with tournament ready net posts, but i use the stock net because im mostly playing with friends or my robot. the stock net is highly elastic, and couldnt be considered for match play imo. the legs are very thin and if you bump the table the table will sway mildly due to the leg flex. this isnt a problem in games unless you or your opponent break the rules. i just wouldnt Zhang Jike on this thing. visually, the grey top is just wonderful, much nicer looking to me than blue and green tops.
i think this table is best for small apartments or any other place with limited room that could benefit from convertibility. im very pleased with the quality of butterfly products, and they have a 3 year warranty that i doubt ill need. but it gave me peace of mind when deciding to buy something that is different than what im used to.
