Played on Xiom Feel ZX3 and Joola ZQH90. 2.0 red. 48 grams cut. Serves and receives were really good considering its speed. Not easy to flick on harder/stiffer blades. Looping is good on both sides, tends to be a better forehand rubber on stiffer blades and backhand on softer/flexier blades. Short arc and mid throw on hard/stiff blades. Mid long mid high on softer/flexier blades. Great at punch blocking and counter driving and looping. Best counter rubber on ZQH90 Ive ever used and no mix up, I could hit as hard as I wanted to someone elses super spinny or loop drives and make 9/10 with plenty of power to boot. Blocks and drives consistent. Easy to be passive or active. Edges crumble like T05. Only concern was throw on opening loops make it difficult to hit hard 3rd ball shots with consistent accuracy. More of a loop then drive rubber. Not really sensitive to spin in short game or countering. Brushes and loop drives well.

I don't understand why ppl here keep complimanting this rubber. In my opinion, it has a very awful durability. It is too hard, if you go with 2.0+, there is a big chance you will break it when you rip it off from the blade (that's how it ends, i only use this rubber for 3 weeks). Moreover, it's expensive, so why don't you just get T05 in such case? It's faster than D05, but much less span, basically only fast. The control is worse than T05, it's completely designed for speedo, not for loop, not at all. So if you cannot produce enough power to overcome the incoming span, then you basically screw up.
this rubber is fast, spinny and very grippy.. but still easy to use.. i use it as my fh black rubber (super thick sponge) on viscaria alc and g-1 (thick sponge) on my bh.. but I'm gonna replace it with this rubber too, it'll work well i think.. it's easy to loop a fast long backspin serve with this rubber..
Tested on Yasaka Sweden Extra, black, 2.0. I don't understand how anyone can compare this rubber with Tenergy 05. It's incomparable. Nittaku Hammond Z2 is sticky and slow. Average rotation. I think the people who are excited about this cover are those who have very fast carbon woods and like the slow down that this rubber gives them.
It's all about speed and spin. Played with it on Nittaku acoustic carbon: it's like a piece of stone, the arc is very low and looping against backspin is a burden. At least close to the table, maybe far from the table the feeling may be different. It's very durable: played in harsh condition(extreme humidity, cold) no change. I think low temperature is a no go for this rubber. So if you're an advanced player with high experience you may play fine but only for couple if minutes because is so boring. I put it also on a 7 layers all wood OSP Martin pro, still the same story. For those money you'll find much more nice alternative.
Great.
Feels a bit harder than Victas V22.
Also is a bit more precise.
Same speed i would say.
No extreme catapult which is good.

Good rubber between T05 and D05, fast, good spin, good control, throw angle is less than T05. The max thickness is about 44g ! if you are looking for "do everything" rubber, with hardness from 47 to 50, and max thickness very light, this is the best choice. I think it works well on outer (TB ALC, Viscaria ...)and inner blades (innerforce ZLC, Persson WC89).
Hammond Z2 is very hard to control in sponge max. I think it's too much to give a good review for the Hammond Z2
Using it on FH in Black - max thickness.
Great for attack with strong spin and speed without losing control.
Smashes with wonderful power.
It is not the lightest rubber you can get (49g after cut)
The only detriment is that it won't last very much with the same good values.
After a month or two playing 3-4 time a week it loses it's spin.
Great value!

best forehand rubber if you are a versatile allround or offensive player , I m using it now im my forehand in a tibhar stratus power wood is a perfect combination !
My favorite rubber (and I have tried many).
Not the fastest, but with proper technique it's fast enough for anyone. Max thickness is slightly faster than 2.0 but control is similary excellent.
On short game and service you can rely on its slightly tacky surface, while for loops the long dwell time and strong grip give a heavy spin. Spin sensitivity is average. Throw angle is quite low yet the rubber is very forgiving. Being very linear, it can even be played by beginners, and allows for fast learning. The sponge is relatively hard but the top sheet is soft, it feels like natural rubber. It goes well on most blades I have tried, hard or soft. I currently use it on a JRE, on both side, and it's a great pair.
A perfect balance of speed, spin and control.
I can just recommend it to anyone looking for a balanced rubber, without having specific requirements.
That said I'm a little disappointed by durability, out of 4 rubbers I own, 2 have already ripped during ungluing. Once glued, let it be until it's finished.

I ordered the maximum thickness version. Along with a wood with SZLC is the racket. The fastest combination I've ever had. Now, I tried to adapt and close the palette more. If I don't succeed, I will also try with woods with more control, OFF, or OFF-. In my opinion, they are faster than Dignics 09C. They are extraordinary, but if you are at the average or close to professional level, try them on wood OFF or Off -, and the 2.1 versions, not maximum. I say this because I tested them with a friend on a pure wood, without carbon, Off, 2.1 thickness, and the sensation was of speed with a lot of control. On my wood, with SZLC, OFF +, maximum thickness, I no longer have that feeling with good control. It's the cosmic rocket.
I have this 1.8mm rubber on a ver fast Nittaku Miyabi penhold blade (off+) and this rubber is fast with great spin. I had to adjust in the begging after a considerable amount of time without playing. You can loop, hit it flat and block near the table. A heck of a rubber.
Basicly, Speed of a Mxp with spin of Tenergy. Well it is more complicated then that, Let's talk about it.
So i have this rubber for 5 months (1 season) Time for a new one usually. Well no, the factory tuning is gone and due to that the topsheet shrinked a bit. It still plays like after 1 month, So good durability! It feels like a bouncy 50 degree rubber, not very comparable to other rubbers i.m.o. Yeah it is fast! i played 2.0 and it very quick, it still has splenty of dwell. Also the throw angle is quick and arc is long. I find this good for mid distance only, I really do struggle when attacking against topspin close to the table. Really have to close your blades angle down. Serves are good, 8/10 compared to Hurricane 3 national :)
I like this rubber, i'll try something new when this dies.

This rubber is better than Tibhar k3, Victas 22 extra double. More fast, spin, better serve, control is similar
Re-Revised: I needed a few hours of testing (with different blades) to perfectly support the qualities of this rubber with the selected blade. . At the beginning of my tests, I had combinate some blades that were too fast or to stiff and hard with this rubber. Finally the Z2 landed on my Stuor Professional Long 5 (inner layer) at my BH side. Wonderful ! ... pure safety on all shots, whether at the table or far behind it, as well as above-average speed and spin values characterize this rubber. Opponent's serves can be easily "wrapped" around and returned safely. The height and length of the flight curve enable me to bring significantly more balls to the target!!! Facts: my black rubber in 1.8 mm weighs 102 g. in the original packaging and 68 g. uncut. Cut to 160 x 150 mm it weighs 46 g. (... including glue), without only 44 g. Nittaku itself states that the sponge of this rubber has a hardness of 45 degrees, which must be definitely a joke, because it really feels much harder. ... round about 50 degrees!
My conclusion: The perfect blade for this outstanding rubber should not be too hard and stiff. My long-time favorite rubber, the Nittaku Fastarc G-1, cannot keep up in terms of dynamics, speed and control, I only rate its spin value higher! What I don't like at all is that the Z2 is almost twice as expensive as the G-1. - so I hope, that it lasts at least a very long time. (... as you know from the Tenergy rubbers!) Addendum: In the meantime my wife (instead of Tenergy and Dignics. 64) is playing this excellent rubber on both sides of a Donic Appelgren Dotec Control solid blade. (...which has significantly improved your safety in the game!). - her Z2 each weigh 44 g.

So so avarage rubber. Nothing special. Fast with very small dwell time. Spin is also not the best comparing with hybrid rubbers like Bluegrip C2, Stiga DNA DragonGrip.
It takes its toll to play with this one, but it sure is worth it. The overall best non-tensor i have play with, in Max, 2.3 for the pros, it is a monster that is very hard to handle if you arent PRO, and the speed in 2.3 is easesly the fastest rubber i have played with, it is made for guys that are playing in front of the net, never let the opponent get past you. In half a year, everyone in workshop elite playing with this!
Purchased two sheets, one red, one black in 1.8 thickness. The red sheet was 49 grams and the black sheet was 45 grams. This is not a light rubber. The other characteristics are good.
This is the new monster-rubber from Nittaku, i bought it same day it showed.
This is a rubber for world-class players, therefor i bought it in 1.8mm. Had i bought it in 2.3 i had crushed the windows in the playinghall, because it is FAST. It has nothing in common with other Hammond-rubbers. If you can handle it, it is the best rubber in the world ever. The top spins comes back from the opponent outside the table very easy to loop around the table in a low stroke, and is impossible for the opponent. The spin is so incredible spinny, and add a very strange topsheet with small small hills(!) that makes it behave very strange for the opponent. Sometimes it pass my friend with a meter, and sometimes it just goes under or over his blade, and sometimes it even dies in the air, making it the ULTIMATE looping rubber. You can also hold tje table and its aiming is invredible and just smash side to side, landing on the white line or next to it. I play with it an hour 3 times a week, but i am not ready to play matches yet, this take time, but during the latest 13 years i have tested 220+ rubbers, and never ever even come close to this one. A must for good players, and it is in my opinion almost cheating to play with it. High degree of natural rubber, and it sems to last a very long time!

The overall weight of the rubber is 68 grams, the cutting weight is 46 grams. after trying 2 weeks the first impression after being pasted on the Nittaku meister BO racket is amazing control, for blocking very stable, spin rotation is equivalent to T05 / Dignics 09c, very grippy, I use a sponge thickness of 2.0 used on the backhand, the feeling of hardness of the sponge is 48 or 50 degrees, for speed to make opponents Cry depressed (ha.ha.ha ...& I always smile) and so I want to try thickness 2.2 / Max for Forhand. The visible weakness is cracking on the rubber edges due to being hit by a hard ball, or accidental hitting the table during flick (I don't know....). overall this rubber is really amazing.
I wanted a rubber which has a lot of spin and a relatively high throw angle to improve my forhand topspin against backspin. What I got: A rubber that has all of these aspects. The Hammond Z2 has a huge amount of gears. The only problem that I figured out for me is the counter topspin over the table/close distance.
Ma Long as Nittaku Ambasador will be using this rubber, and brzecol is the worst user in revspin
Tried many rubbers over the years. I play with blade from re-impact rapier 44 almost always play with thin sponge because my blade is quite thick 13.2 mm
few months ago tested the andro rassanter c48 2.0mm the conclusion the sponge is too thick for me. few weeks ago i was on revspin site when i saw that nittaku had released new rubber Harmond Z2 and also thin sponge available 1.4 mm so ordered.
Played twice now and a lot of control pretty fast for a thin sponge but very controllable lots of spin and very easy to practice.
I'm very happy with the coming months to see how it goes.

Just amazing! The amounts of control you are getting while still being able to puch when you want is sooo good. It feels like a tenergy 05 but with more spin, more gears, more control and ofcourse, 10 times more feeling!
hackercong is from Vietnam and any shop from Vietnam has real Nittaku distribution words from Nittaku
I think that it is better than g-1, mxp, tenergy 05 and dignics 05, tibhar k3 hybrid and hurricane 3 national.
More Spin, More Control, monster rubber from Nittaku. Future bestseller

This is the best rubber ever. The spin is incredible, and the surface is very strange, you can feel and almost touch the pips. It is a pro+ rubber, and i have the 1.8 version, and even with that it is VERY fast. Looping behaves differently, the opponents are just looking at me, like What did happening?
