Great rubber. Takes time to really learn how to control but overtime it will become a formidable weapon.

I bought this overrated rubber, hoping it would be better than Dragon's Talon. Unfortunately, the price is not justified, as Talon is more versatile and easier to play with. As for the spin reversal and deception, I haven't felt a significant difference between the 2 rubbers. D'Tecs might have a slightly better reversal, but it also breaks like paper. Removing it from the blade if glued with anything stronger than cheap paper glue would most likely destroy it.
For the price of a D'Tecs, you can get 3 Dragon's Talon. Whoever says D'Tecs is the best long pips rubber available should try Talon, which seemed to me springier and faster than D'Tecs. This makes it more dangerous, as it doesn't leave the opponent much time to react. Durability is also excellent for Talon. I've had one for about 10 years and it's still in great shape.
This is one of the rare cases when the clone beats the original.

I played initially with DMS Spinfire, Flashback and Andro Blowfish but were fast rubbers. I wanted to go slower and wanted to see shots with disruption. A friend recommended Tibhar Dtechs and fell in love with it. Great disruptioin and reversal are big factors in my game and it is fast enough fo me to stab my opponent when needed. This is my main weapon.
I played it for very long time in 0x.
Great rubber for chops and block. High deception and reversal, correct control.
Low sensitivity to incoming spin.
I have trouble to get back hits from high skilled attacking players from which spin or/and speed are impossible to manage (but maybe that's due to no sponge rubber).
Terrible for offensive game (one of the worst pips for that),
Awful price 50 euro while it was 30 euro few years ago... I won't buy it anymore for this reason .

I switched to Long pips about 7-8 months ago. As a 45+ year old player I found it helped me greatly with my game. I chose Grass D.Tecs OX and my game has improved greatly. Great for spin reversal, deception, service return, and ball placement. However, very difficult to hit agressive shots with it apart from hard pushes.
I use the OX on Harimoto ALC and love it.
Recently I also got the 0.5mm version and used it on a XIOM All-round S. Slightly less reversal but easier to hit backhand shots with it and surprise opponents.
I play close to the table so cannot speak for long distance defenders.

OX, the acid green colour. First of all: S&T Hellfire X will bury alive it! In almost every aspect: better control (S&T has the best control I`ve ever seen in LP), slower speed (aprox. 15% I would say), much better spin reversal (aprox. 30% more!), aprox. the same distorsion, lower trajectory when you block the ball. But Hellfire X lasts (at least for me, I tried 2 sheets, to be sure it wasn`t some accident) only 4-5 days. The only 2 chapters where DTecs was better than Hellfire X was spin insensitivity, which allows you to hit good returns and excellent strawberrys&bananas (sidespins) and the durability.
I tried this recently, a friend let me have a try with his set up. His Blade was the tsp 3 5 def plus. On the rev side a giant dragon submarine in 1.5mm. The grass was in .6mm I believe. Very nice and I agree better than tsp curl p1r. In .6mm it was clonky nice feeling. You can really feel the grip. Chopped great. I found it easy to hit as well with a sharp upwards and forward motion.
This is a good long pips rubber by Tibhar. Many people struggle to play against pip players. The main reason is that there are not enough players who use pips and even fewer players who use long pips so practice time is limited. In most cases when you hit the ball with grippy inverted rubber the spin changes in the direction that you move your racket. With long pips rubber, this is not the case because the rubber has low grip. Some or most of the original spin remains on the ball by the time the ball bounces off the racket. This is called spin reversal. Harder rubber without sponge will have the most spin reversal. Softer and thicker sponges will reduce reversal because the ball is in contact with the rubber for a longer time. A thin sponge like 0.5mm is a good compromise. It gives you good reversal and adds dwell time for you to direct the ball. If you want to start to play with long pips then be prepared for a steep learning curve. Long pips create a more difficult game mentally because the resulting spin varies depending on the current spin on the ball, not just the movement of the racket. You can also twiddle the racket quickly to disguise whether you are using long pips or not.
Tried plenty of premium LPs. This in OX is in a league of its own if you play the reversal game. (For a grippy pip try elsewhere, this isn't it) It's a bit fast for a LP but I dislike really slow blades. All+ speed carbon blade was perfect woth the d'tecs OX for me, allowing for some speed on the forhand as well. Most remarkeble to me was the fact that many seem to find it a difficult pip while I find it extremely easy to get used to. It behaves very lineair, only the speed close to table is something to keep in mind. The speed of this LP does allow for some easy hitting when balls are returned high forcing the opponent to keep things sharp. The reversal is insane. I can for example do a pendulem sidespin and reverse my own spin from an opponents return to the force the error at the 4th ball with the spin of the serve. (Naturally a decent opponent will adapt after one go but this is an example on how good the reversal is). Chopping from far is also very easy, good curve with this LP! The only sad thing is you don't really have to work much with this LP. Something more grippy like Feint 2 requires more input but feels more rewarding when your technique is there. With the D'tecs the reward is a given, you only need to chose the correct placement of the ball.
I was using this pips with Donic WSC. 1,2 mm spong. For me it was really to hard controll it. I don't know why ? Maybe blade was to fast. But anyway: good deception and reversal, close and away from table. Hard to atack BH with it.
Now I'm waiting for Giant Dragon CC OX (blade for it Andro Temper Tech All+). UPDATE: On fast bade I had bad controll. On Andro TT All+ everything works perfect.

D.TecS (OX) is the most deceptive long pimple on the market. Spin reversal is extreme when using this pips and wobble effect is huge. Best used near a table when chop blocking, side blocking and flat push (gives you wobble effect on the ball ) in OX or no sponge version. It will take some time to master these pips. For example, it took me around 6 months to master these pips completely, so be patient and you will be reworded! I highly recommend D.TecS (OX) for those who want to dominate their opponents by using pimples .
After using Tibhar Grass D.Tecs for 1 year, i would say that this rubber is the best pips that if i compared with all other pips that i ever used. This pips is even better in compare with TSP P4 Chop or P1R. The characteristics of this pips are:
1. Fery fast long pips. You need to use it on def+ or all round blade and i do not recommend to use it on off or off+ blade.
2. It takes more time to learn it's character in compare with other pimples rubber.
3. Best for block and chop away from the table
4. The best way to learn and improve your game with this pips is to focus on your stance and footwork.
5. This pips is NOT created for passive blocker. But, very effective for modern defender who want to reach the next level of their game and improve their playing style.
6. I will not suggest to use the OX version but use at least with 1.0 sponge. Sponge will make this pips more consistent and more controllable.

I waited a long time to buy this because it was so expensive. Almost all the reviews say how great it is. But I have to say I am extremely disappointed. It is good for chopping far from the table and that is about it. It is terrible for passive blocking or drop shots. The throw on this rubber is just far too high. Angles where would make my typical blocks will shoot the ball up in the air with this rubber. Control is minimal and is not very good for punch blocking. After paying $44 its in my drawer and will never be used again .
Been using grass dtecs OX for 2 years now and my rating has increased substantially. This is the best long pips I've used so far and drives my opponent crazy. Last 6 months before breaking a pip. But quite expensive compared to other pips.
Use it ( 1.2mm ) with Tibhar COS3 . Good for drive , chop , block , and push but hard to control it .
Tryed lots of LP rubbers.IMHO Grass D.TecS & Dragon Talon are the nastiest.Grass w/ more spin/reversal vs Talon.Use black OX with absolutly no control problem as good as Talon. Simply the best LP.
In Jan. 2015 I chose my first LP rubber after a knee injuring,
with the intention of blocking/pushing as much as possible.
Did not mind spending the money.
After reading the reviews here I picked Tibhar Grass D.TecS
in OX, and Stiga Defensive NCT as a stiff, light, and slow blade.
With Calibra Tour S on the forehand. 130G.
The good news is that, at least against very experienced basement/office
players, I can return serve with my Grass much better that my previous
BH rubber (Xiom Vega Europe on an Allround blade). My opponents
also hit the net or shoot long many times. So I can keep playing and
actually increased my winnings, very useful in Xilin Chinese School
where the winner hogs the table.
Thus for all my opinion is worth, Grass has good deception and
very good control in OX. Direct hits are also very good,
easier than with Vega and only a little bit slower.
The bad news is that my setup has one serious limitation
(combined with my desire not to move my feet).
Since Grass in OX is not bouncy while my forehand inverted rubber is
(which one isn't?), I have a very hard time twiddling.
I can counterhit/block fine with inverted on BH, but with the LP
on the FH I need a large, very fast topspin
move just to get safely over the net.
And I will not try to chop, that is hard on my knees.

Play Dtecs In OX (glue sheet) and In a modern deff style. Chops a lot away from the Table with good control and effects. But also really good in serve returns, with very dangerous returns. Blocks are awesome and make the opponents make "easy" mistakes on the returns. OVERALL THE BEST LP I HAVE TRIED YET. Have played/tested Dr. N. Boomerang Classic, GD Talon, Spinlord Blitschlag, S&T Hellfire, Palio CK351 A, Feint I, CTT National Pogo, Lion Claw. A good way to learn to play the Dtec is to start with Giant Dragon Talon, who I think is a look a like of the Dtec but just not as fast and dangerous.
Numbers above are subjective but I can tell you that this is my favourite ox lp - I'm using the NEW version without the glue sheet and slightly shorter pips. Great on my new COS blade from Tibhar. The blocks are so low and deadly! Not as fast if used on slow blade. No other lp can compare to it and very good control.
edit: still the best vs dr.talon special ox because you can use open face for both top and bs. Best overall LP!

After wasting a year going from one LP to another (generally in OX), I tried grass dtecs 1.2mm and it was love at first sight! First thing you notice is the pop off the bat with the tensor rubber. That in itself, and the low trajectory when you chop the ball, can really muck up your opponent's attempts to attack. Loopers who had no problem looping against feint long 2 or 3 suddenly found they had to adjust their technique against the dtecs. Despite the power, I actually found the LP easier to control than all the OX LPs I've tried, especially for handling slower balls. Because of the pop, the ball just goes where you aim it...very nice!
Main problem for me is that, with the speed, when I twiddle and hit with my FH, I lose control. However, I'm sure it's something I can work on and improve.

great rubber that goes out of control prety often .u hav to be 100% everytime u play with this.receiving is bit difficult and timing has to be bang on.if u master it opponents are gonna hate u....
Old Dtecs is the best pips since I stopped playing with Virus II. New Dtecs good, but not in all segments of the game ... weaker in the passive block, serves, only it has better control.
lehet hogy zavaró,de nagyon pontatlan.atspcurl p 1r sokkal jobb.
A great feeling of control and performance in this rubber. Chop blocks absolutely destroy your opponents confidence
Probably the best LP available at the moment, but also difficult to master. Chops very well with sponge. Very aggressive pushes in 0x. Blades recommended is Dr.N Firewall , Tachi , or Cayman.
But they are not easy to control.
Jthws or Dr. N Barricade for more control.

Hi, I am Mr. Viveik Urankar, Pune [Maharashtra, India] using Tib har Grass D.Tec. pipsout Ox rubber since 8 to 10 months. Really it is very wonderful rubber invented by Tibhar Co. This rubber is good for players who play spong maximum thicknexss at forehand and pipsout OX rubber at backhand. I have the same combination and really enjoying the game especlially backhand block with grass d.tec. The opponent becomes mad when the ball is returned by grass d.tec. Really it is wonderful pipsout OX rubber. Here in India it is very difficult in getting the rubber. Luckly I got after heavy search. Further still I am in search for additional grass Devil / Flex / Ultra / Mythik OX pipes out rubber. If order what is the procedure and the cost including shipping etc. may please be intimated. My email nanduurankar@rediffmail.com
Extremly soft topsheet rubber and a bit harder sponge is good combination for making of wobbling balls. I would say, it depends on speed of coming ball from opponent. Very efective in medium speed balls rally when the pips bend enough. When you play contra balls against topspin (like with soft rubber), the pips are extreamly pressed down and they give to the ball very much of energy from pips elasticity.
After a few strokes you have the frictionless feelling. On the other hand it's difficult to control, because it seems to me this rubber is developed for straight play - no chopping/cutting. I'm contradicting to myself, because it probably use Joo See Hyuk. If you want to classical defend, the control is very good near the table. From longer distances is more efective to play smash attack, but you have to beware of very low hitting (despite it would be dangerous for opposite).
Big topic for passive players is the matter of less control but offensive players have other opinion and very like this rubber. I would recommend this rubber to players who can twiddle (very good weapon) - they are very sensitive players in most time and has good solving the angle of hitting. Also recomment to players who formerly play with frictionless pips. Players formerly played with classical rubbers like andro classic or butterfly orhodox etc is very difficult rubber. Motto: coltrol and speed is very relative for everyone.

This is the most dangerous and disturbing LP on the market today, even after ITTF neutered it. No LP, that's legal, has the same amount of spin reversal. However, this comes at the prices of some control, since it's quite fast, but when you have learned to control it it's only good since it puts pressure on your opponent. You can block the hardest loops with a very open racket angle but you need to have some feeling and soft hands to prevent be ball from going long when blocking the harder ones. The thing I like most about this rubber is the aggressive push against very spinny serves and pushes, it's just to push through it like, almost like there was no spin at all on the ball.
The rubber also performs well when chopping, you can't create that much spin on your own, unless your using sponge, but the spin continuation when chopping against heavy loops is crazy. The chops can also be kept very low and with good pace which gives your opponent less time and margin for error.

Extrodinary good weapon. I found it after Super block. I am veteran player. Yes it more efective on blocs close to the table, but I succesfuly chop from midlle distances. Very dangerous is backhand hit. Yes playing with it is not simple. It very hard to play You, but especialy opponent. I play Joo Se Huk blade, OX -BH. Playing with it I won 2 champion titles: North Europen countries+Baltic States championship.
Cosistency changing because of the adhesion to the glueing sheet.
Very hard to control. Medium deception, but very good reversal. Comes close to Super Block, when playing an allround / attack game close to the table. I wouldn´t suggest a long- or mid-distance player to use it, because it seems pretty easy to play topspin aganst the long cuts (but not against stop-blocks close to the table). So stay near to the table with it! When sportsmen like Jo play it, they combine it with a very aggressive forehand that is even more world class.

first of all this, is a great long pip for blocking at the table, if not the best. BUT it takes a lot of skill and practice to use it effectively.no rubber for beginners. its fast , very fast in fact. if you're gonna use this pip you'll have te build your gear and game around it. a very slow blade is a must(otherwise it is simply uncontrollable), preferably with hard outer plies to maximise spin reversal. it is difficult to block with it, but if you do you'll win the point. it is hard to hit with it but the effect on the ball when you succeed wil win you the point. chopblocking , again very hard but very effective. the pips can be used to play very deceptive balls but you wil need good hands. since it is fast an not at all frictionless you will have to choose your bat angle carefully when playing. the one thing it is not suited for is playing away from the table.
have it in 1.2mm sponge....most people play with it in ox due to its amazing spin reversal and devastating chop block effects, i decided to try it out as a chopping rubber because Joo (number 1 chopper in the world) has recently switched to this from P1-r from TSP....it is fast as a squirrel on caffeine, the d.tecs sponge has tensor effect and makes flat hitting the ball super speedy and with a speed glue click....personally i find the TSP still superior for chopping due to its manipulation abilities, the Grass is less effected by spin so pop ups are less likely on bad form, however the pips speed may carry it over the end of the table....needs good hands like the TSP, however, a different kind of good hands as they are both difficult yet effective to chop with.....on maximum chops, TSP gave more backspin, however, on avarage, the grass gave more....will update if i continue to use it, for now im sticking with the P1-R
