VKM Defensive, straight handle - 80g, 166x155. Not that slow! I was expecting a super slow blade but it is not much slower than VKM. At first, the feeling is a bit surprising : thin and quite stiff racket, with some flex but still on the hard side to me. Chopping both wings is super comfortable and stable, as expected, so as short game. I am also quite satisfied with topsins in general. In fact, nothing wrong with this racket, except that I am not used to its feeling yet, coming from very soft touch and more flexible defensive blades... I will continue testing it for sure. // Update 2023.11 : I moved to this blade, coming from Stiga's Defensive Pro. I really love VKM Defensive since it is even more stable at chopping without loosing any offensive possibilities. I am now used to its feeling, perfectly balanced. Outer plies are pretty soft and give a flexible touch, but the core is stiff and hard, allowing endless topspins when needed. I never felt that this blades lacked of speed whereas its stability and control are hudge. Rubbers currently glued and definitely adopted are : Curl P1V 0,5mm and V20 Double Exrta 2mm.
I tested it with viper soft 1.0 and mizuno Q5 2.0. Chops are amazing. It is not too fast so you can chop well but with an offensive rubber on forhand you can attack properly. Counterattack away from the table is perfect but what I love is a high speed and accurate backhand counterattack close to the table.
Also i bought a gewo hype xt 50 1.9. It is half price less than mizuno and for me it is better for chopping and counterattacking, block is as good as mizuno.

This blade is great. For the past two years I have been looking for a blade with these properties and finally found it. Excellent control on the racket combined with ox grass and offensive rubber on the other side. The balance is emphasized, especially full strength. At a distance from the table shows excellent placement and safe chop returns. It is moderate weight (82g) and does not tire the hand.Only the handle should be a little thicker and less slippery when sweating A little grip track is the solution.Very quality workmanship for so thin blade.Worth these great prices for one of the best bledes for modern defense.Control for defensive and balance power for counterattack.
This blade is very good for the strong away from the table choppers. You will be able to counter strong topspins and still make adisional spin woithout beeing afraid of hitting too hard because of its slow speed and good control. Because this blade is so thin and light, you will get good fealing during the contact bitween the rubber and the ball.
This is not a defensive blade, I would rate ALL + with a lot of control, very well made, perfect finished, I especially recommend for ox long pips, mine 79 gr
