Very nice controlable blade with beautiful feelling. Not so fast for someone who plays 1-2 years. Requires good technic to unlock its potential. Very good spin potential, high arc compared to Viscaria, needs some time to get used to that, especially smashes. Used with Rakza 7. Totally recomended for someone who wants to develop his technic or someone who is advanced and wants a controllable all wood feeling blade. For me as an intermediate attacker it is a bit slower than what i would like.

Great blade for combination inverted with short pips for BH due to hard outer ply. Sweet spot is medium-large with the right vibration. Best blade I have reviewed that pairs very well with Chinese tacky rubbers. Might suggest a light sanding when new to soften the edges at the bottom of the wings. AN grip feels outstanding, not to thick or thin. Good at all distances from table. Some Euro tensors feel nice but can be a bit to bouncy on this blade. Rakza 7, Rozena, T64 Fx, Dragon Grip, Hurricaines work well. A great offensive all wood blade that has become a legend.
I have find a brand new special version with Ma Lin face at below the handle. It is lighter and hard than the Normal Ma Lin Offensive.
Mind's is 76g , my old one was about 85g . Ok just talk about the new one. The Ma Lin face version.
There was few pieces for choose, most of them are around 84-89g , but I find one off them just 76g and when I knock the blade , the tone was the second high of them.
For me , I prefer heavier , because my style is loop form mid-table but the saleslady said "its very hard to find a blade that is light but fast" Well~ thats a deal.
The Ma Lin face version has a slimmer handle , it made my rpb easier. And because its ligther so I can swing faster and create more spin.
This blade is good in serve and very good in close table smash , when the ball comes just little higher , I can smash. The funny thing is , when I smash harder , and it will get more accuracy.
Touch and Control are just fair , because my blade is just 76g and little hard also not so good in mid to far distance to the table
This special blade has completely change my style from mid table looping to close table fast attack. Then speed of smash is the fastest of my all blades even faster than some Butterfly ZLC , Stiga dynasty carbon Xu Xin version

This is the first blade I ever used. Paired with Hurricane 3 FH and Dignics09C BH I was able to create fast attacks with ease and was able to give tons of spin when I RPB. Overall high quality blade and very cheap as well. I would definitely recommend this blade to penholders.
(FH: Yasaka Mk V / BH: Andro GTT 45)
I upgraded from a premade Palio Legend 2; this blade had the same speed as my Palio, but was much lighter. The sweet spot was slightly smaller, but it was not a big issue after using the racket for a couple hours. I would recommend this blade for anyone looking to upgrade from a premade racket.

I bought this blade prepared with Yasaka Razka 7 max on B/H and Razka PO max on F/H. First impressions of this blade after one session is exactly what I hoped for . I am a powerful player and I needed a blade that was stiff enough for the short pips but also enough flex for my backhand topspin attack - this blade gives me the best of both as I can flick serves with both f/h and b/h with ease - then together with the control factor it makes topspins , smashes and drives so easy .
This blade is all wood so has some vibration but not excessive , I like the fact you can feel the ball on the blade and I am old school coming from the all wood blade era . Because this blade isnt bouncy it is perfect for serve and return in addition to having enough power to finish the point . I wanted a blade that would compensate for the power of the Razka short pimple rubber , with this blade I am able to hit on the forehand with real confidence the ball will land where I choose it to .
It is very true that this blade is limitless with power - if you have the correct technique and timing then this blade is devastating With the correct setup . I definitely wont be changing anytime soon , fantastic quality I must add , the blade is finished far nicer than some well known blades that are 4x the price .

Been playing with this blade for quite some time now and is a great blade, with big sweetspot, very forgiven, well made, control is insane not the fastest blade but it is not slow either if pushed can be fast
I'm paired it with Yasaka Rakza 7 soft. On both sides and is a very, very good combo I love it.
Spin is easy to do. Looping too blocks really nice. For the money it has to be the best bung for the buck you get a hell of a blade for little money.

All around excellent blade. Maybe not quite as fast as a VIS, on the lower range of OFF blades. But it also gives you a much flexier and better feel. When you wind up your stroke, it still gives you all the speed you need, and you dont really feel lack of power. Produces a high pitch smack when you hit hard.
I think its a very spinny blade, probably good for spin-oriented offensive players. Dwell time feels quite long compared to carbon blades. Overall very balanced blade and feels very nice in hand.

I play Ch.Pen, I used this blade for about 10months. In comparison to the Hurricane Hao 1. This blade for me was way more consistent and easier to use. Everything felt better. Loop, power, control, block. All became much more consistent as soon as I switched. This blade is fast if you have a strong stroke with good technique. There is a reason Ma Lin was able to dominate with this bad boy. But the speed and power on this has a limit. Long rallies from a few feet back takes the wind out of you. This blade is not for long rallies. It can assist you to deliver finishing strokes and consistent short play. But dont rely on it for long rallies. My game play using this blade was playing a short game to my advantage and awaiting the opponent to push a little too long or high for me to either execute a strong loop, loop kill or flick to control rally. I was easily able to FH flick and RPB flick using this. Good vibrations, speed, control and consistency. My set up when this was my game racket using this was FH:TG2 blue sponge, BH: Tin arc 3. I currently have 802-40 mystery3 short pips on FH with this and it is quite easy to use.
The hard outer layer let's me hold the ball when looping letting me get more spin, while also the hard outer layer lets me block good. While fast not uncontrollable. For the price, can't think of a better blade.
I bought this racket for my 12-year old son who needed to transition from a cheap racket to a better quality one. The price was fair and he likes it a lot. I would recommend it.
9.3/10 for OFF style. FH/BH: Palio CJ8000 Biotech 42-44, 2mm, 45g (0.22g/cm^2), 39.5 degrees (Shore A). Blade: Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive, 87g, 157mm x 150mm x 5.9mm (Width x Height x Thickness). Plies: 5 (Wood): Walnut - Spruce - Ayous - Spruce - Walnut.
Great blade for people learning how to play offensive and has a huge sweet apot
Similar speed to my TSPW, with slightly less control. Feeling is quite sharp, due to the walnut outer ply. Also stiffer than TSPW. I tested with soft/medium soft rubbers with medium high throw and it played well. Only rated speed and control '10', to bring average rating numbers up to approximate it's actual speed, which is I believe is closer to the TSPW, as mentioned already.
I have the CPEN version.
When I first used it 4 months ago, I didnt like it cos it felt too 'weak' for me. Maybe that's cos I was using a very hard JPEN with short pimples so I got used to the ferocious power. I didnt use The MA LIN much after that, but TODAY.... after some thought, I took it out and did some heavy and fast LOOPING with it. WOW.... what a beast ! The blade immediately felt like a Bullet flying out from a gun! My 2 regular sparring players were stunned at the speed and insane amount of spin this Blade produced.
Here's the thing you need to know about using this blade: You NEED to go all out with your LOOPING....with proper LEG power technique involved to give the velocity required to be unleashed on this blade. If you can do it correctly, you will be rewarded with delightfully fast and powerful looping that will torment all your opponents! This blade is not for the lazy player. It demands an aggressive approach for it to be fully utilised.
It has average flex...which is good for returning hard smashes so that the ball doesnt fly out of the table. The weight is still pretty light with 2 inverted rubbers on it. When I used RPB with it, it was easily executed. I tried the Handshake version too....and it is equally good.
Overall... this blade is good only if your technique is solid. Recommended for Intermediate to Advanced players only. NOT for beginners.

Quite slow for new plastic ball era. And I may say lots of vibrations. You need power to use this blade. Good for looping as well as blocking. For this era better try yeo7 power
Very balanced blade, medium speed, light flexion, medium hard outer layer but not too much, wide sweet spot, handle st comfortable, great feeling, good with all types of rubbers, highly recommended for intermediate and advanced level, easy blocking, topspin, backspin , good spin, and service, one of the best 5 layers.
Super light, it takes time to get use to it if you aren't use to very light blades, amazing for loops and offensive shots
I have developed my technique with this blade. There's nothing missing on this blade. Have enough flexibility for spin. There's enough hardness for the smash. Good level of control, ball feeling is also fine. has a slight vibration. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to improve the game if you are mid-level. YEO deserves fame.I think, the king of five-layer blades.

YEO or YMLEO is popular 5-ply all-wood blade from Yasaka, made in Sweden. Due to a huge popularity I dare to say it is a classic. It has a little harder touch because of walnut surface layer, still providing enough feedback. Not very stiff, well balanced. Sweetspot is above average. Suitable for close and play away from the table, for both celluloid 40 and new plastic 40+ ball. Composition: walnut-spruce-ayous-spruce-walnut, 6mm thick. Very well made. My blade measures 88g. ST handle is very comfortable as well as is FL. In short: do it all blade, suitable also for beginners (if they want to stick to it). Did I mention inexpensive, too?
YEO is one of the best 5plys for a reason.
Its merits lie in its linearity and feeling provided by hard outer ply and soft core: superb short game, easy ball placement and great range of speeds. Stiffness allows for stable passive blocking. The demerits are:
-lack of catapult away from the table, as power it has plenty, but is too physically demanding for continuous attack
-hardness of outer ply forces you to be precise, else shot quality suffers/ball goes long
Overall excellent blade for developing. Too demanding for 40+, 7plys offer more catapult.

A very good blade for who wants to have great speed, excelent control and wants to loop and counterloop fast.
Personnaly, I prefer, by much, the old Gatien Extra, and the Old Gatien Extra 3D. These woods were rated ALL Around, and the seems faster to me than this blade, supposed to be offensive. We have to try to find what we lilke, and there is no match between this blade and me.
It bounces and sounds not right. the actual paddle doesn't even look exactly like the picture shown on the website. Did I get a fake one? not sure. Try to avoid it.
This blade made my game increase a lot in a short period of time. I use the CPEN version (JTTA) paired with a XIOM OMEGA V Europe 2.0 on FH and a Friendship Super Soft 2.2 on BH, I think its a good combination, maybe a little heavy. Looping is very easy with this setup and it makes a very good spin too, blocking is perfect. If you have good defensive skills but like to atack with excelent speed and spin, here is the ideal blade, it has a perfect balance betwen power and control. You can even find better blades in the market, but it will cost 2 ou 3 times the price.
Good price, good quality allwood blade. My defensive skill went up a lot! First time using YEO, I struggled a little attacking... Speed is quite slow, but that was because I did my stroke / loop wrongly... After constant learning and improvement... I really like this blade! Lightweight blade, along with H8 (FH) and Vega Pro (BH), I feel I've progressed a lot, the percentage of the ball went in increased a lot, chopping is also possible. Looping becomes easier, the feeling is good. I think this blade is one of the best 5 ply allwood blade for a long time...
If you play like Ma Lin or Xu Xin this is the blade. For all-put close-to-the-table attacker or away-from-the-table power loopers. In short, power players with extreme stroke to take full advantage.
Great blade, I have been using this since day one and its been very performing with fast and precise attack. Very durable so far even after a few episode of collision. Well made.
I've been playing with the CPEN version of this blade, and I must say I'm impressed. It's a very good blade overall and I understand why it's considered a classic by many players.
It's powerful but not too bouncy, you need to generate the speed yourself to get a faster ball. As a consequence, control is really good for an offensive blade (I'd say lower end of OFF blades). The blade is stiff enough but not too stiff (making it versatile, good in block/counter but still good in topspin play as well), it's medium hard but not that hard... it's hard to describe, really. It's taken me a long time to try this blade, I was afraid that it would have too "hard" a feeling for my taste (versatile topspin player, favoring limba-outer blades most of the time)... but it doesn't, and even though the external ply is hard, it does not feel that way. If you like only soft and flexy blades, this one is not for you, but if you don't mind a reasonably stiff / hard blade and hesitate, don't.
Only thing to be aware of, for me : it has a medium-throw and is really "direct", powerful and therefore not forgiving, so it's not the best option if you like to vary a lot, with variations of spin and speed. But if you play mostly powerful attacks and counters, then it's made for this and really shines.

frankly to say this blade is a very good in all its aspects but the disadvantage of this blade is it is not still crafted as per expectations, i used the yasaka rakza7 on both sides but there were problems getting the ball on the table, so i tried using short pips on Fh spectol it was difficult too, then i purchased the aruna off+ where the handle is flared and flexible for Fh & Bh but was still not satisfied so i purchased the DHS CW-C blade which is a nice blade and heavy has a big head & face and nicely well crafted handle & good performance on the table , so after my observation & conclusion I came to know that yasaka malin has a short handle and the head & face in a bit small, so i added a piece of extra 6mm wood to the handle to make it a bit long and sanded the handle to fit my hand exactly, now i can topspin with short pips easily good control and now i am trying to put DHS skyline neo 3 on it , this blade is a very good blade but craftsmanship is a bit poor so players have no idea why they cant get good power on this blade, i figured it out after a year now this blade performance in really deadly, i hope in the long run yasaka improves and upgrade this blade with a beautiful head & a bit bigger face like Dhs & a flared handle like those of stiga blade, i recommend this blade for players of all types
King of control. Very balanced blade. Large sweet spot. Good in everything but exceed in control. Soft and flex blade, so easy to drive and spin. The only blade that I felt redress Skyline Neo TG3 weakness in control, giving it many gears. But if you want speed, you will need a very fast rubber, like Donic Blue P1 Turbo. Even with P1 turbo control is there.
Rewiew for CP JTTA version. Mine has 91gr, so it's heavy. Good for smash, but has not the same feeling and power for smash like 1 ply hinoki.

Mine is 87g pairing with Rakza 9 & 7 soft, I think this a very good all wood offensive blade with a reasonable price, if you are an offensive minded style of play, get use to it with this blade before upgrading with more speedy & less control blade. After all this the legendary YEO blade.. a must have blade ^^
Solid 5 ply wood blade. This is on the stiffer/harder side of the spectrum for a wood blade, so the bounce is quicker because of less dwell, and overall speed is a good (for 5 ply wood). Decent loops and good counter hitting, but it loses power with distance away from table, so looping mid distance takes more effort. Very good paired with modern medium/medium-hard rubbers.
My blade of choice at the moment. I have a JTTA approved version. The straight handle is just perfect for my large hands. The blade feels solid without unwanted vibrations. Stroke feedback is very good, speed and control are well balanced and can be tuned by choice of rubber. Highly recommended for intermediate level.
Good blade. Despite being hard it has a lot of flex. Many of gears too, slow on touch strokes but explosive on swinging harder. Sweet spot is big, but the feeling of sweet spot is not as distinct as in most composite blades due to the vibrations that follow after hitting the ball. Vibrations are more pronounced with the new plastic ball. This makes it unsuitable for consistent hitting, however, looping is a dream. Overall, very nice blade. I use JTTAA version, don't know how the regular version plays.
Am using Raja 7 on both sides 1st it was difficult to understand all my shots going out of the table ,as I was using xiom straito off++ before, one has to get used to it,it is slow but needs an effort on smashes ,this blade keeps the ball low during topspin ,if one has the right skill it's your opponent's nightmare it's unforgiving specially against players using short pimps, I wished if yasaka upgraded this blade to 7 pliles or 9 pliles wooden blade in future will be a fast blade and strong on smashes too, nice and decent blade
Solid quality blade. Great for looping close and mid distance. I play cpen, and one reason I like this blade is that it is not heavy and not thick (5.9mm 5 ply) - I found that if rubber + blade is too thick, then it strains my finger on the backside. Yet it is still fast enough for quality offensive shots. This blade is not THAT fast - there are many carbon/7ply out there MUCH faster, but you can be guaranteed to make quality loops (fast or control) from close to mid distance. Still, it has very formidable speed and can still be very deadly with good technique and placement. This blade does lack a little power from further away, but that is probably expected since it is 5 ply, all wood, relatively thin.
With this blade I started playing TT as a penhold grip then I change to Classic grip and still was a good blade the thing that a like more of this blade is the control . Short game keeps the ball low with good spin , block is nice with a tensor rubber . The middle of the blade is hard that gives a faster speed . Overall is a grate blade for the price I recommend the blade for player that like a grate feel for control and offensive style
advanced blade (my favourite)
nice touch, amazing speed, nice control man ! you can play from mid distance or away from table, it has got all speed. good for topspins from both forehand and backhand. dwell time is less unlike allround wood blades. my current blade

Solid blade, like any other blade takes a while to get used to but after that its a sweet ride.
I assembled this racket with a Rakza 7 soft 1.8mm and with a Bluefire M3 2mm. I have 2 months with the blade and at this moment I think it has worked well. I´m learning to use the racket.
Great Blade. Very consistent, with a very good feeling of it's speed and Block in your hand.
This blade is the best I've tried in years. I've been using the Donic Ovtcharov Senso Soft Carbon (penhold) Then I got the Yasaka Ma Lin Extra OFF blade it is so fast. I can play long distance, medium distance and close to the table. I am currently using it with the new Yasaka Rising Dragon on my FH and Yasaka Rakza 9 on my BH. It is the best combination ever. You can loads of speed with loads of control. Every offensive player can use this blade.
Blade: Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive (J.T.T.A.A ver) CS
FH: Xiom Omega V Tour DF (max)
BH: Butterfly Solcion (1.9)
From all of my experience with TT blades, I used to used both carbon and all wood blades from many famous brand (DHS, Yasaka, Stiga, Xiom and Butterfly), yet I still find this blade is one of the most controlable blade yet powerful enough to finish point on close-medium distance to table plays. Im not sure how much weight mine is but it is surely lighter than Stiga Clipper WRB and it is more thinner. It is a bit thicker than Stiga Ebenholz V. However, it is more solid and has more touch. With my expereinced with this blades more than 6 months. I can safely say that it is very consistant blade that you can easily control ball placement on the table with any stroke (assuming that you got enough training). My BH rpb and FH opening loop rarely miss and it packs a lot of punch to finish point. Smashing is good but not good as those 7 plys or carbon but better than average 5 plys. It offers solid touch on push and service. Blocking is very consistant. However I never plays chop stroke as Cpen user, so I cannot really comment on that. To sum up, I think this blade is suitable on close to middle distance to table plays for offensive to control loopers. In addition, I think the price tags on this blade is reasonable to that now I buy 2 more blades for replacement.

Very nice blade. It allows you to have a good feel! No regrets buying this! The weight isn't very consistent but i took one which was 88g. Heavy but powerful. I could still respond to RPB fairly quickly. Blade vibrates a little but overall the perfect setup for me. Paired it with the new Yasaka Rising Dragon Max as FH and Yasaka Raksa 7 soft Max as BH. The only issue is the workmanship isn't as great as Nittaku blades.
Nice blade. Perfect for blocking because of tis stiffness and hardness but, amazingly, it's very very good for topspin. Speed is comparable to TB Spirit but the all-wood feeling of YEO is much better. Overall is a very good blade, stable and predictable, good for every kind of strokes. It's not hard to understand why it's one of the all time best all wood blades. Highly recommended!
I give this blade a 10/10 because i like it a lot. My YEO weights about 85 grams and i pair it with a Rakza 7 (max) and M2 (max).
It's kinda heavy for the first sessions, but i got used to it and i feel it benefits my looping/driving techniques.
I used to make a poor drive style, making the whole movement very wrong (finishing the drive with my arm close to my shoulder). A lot of mess. With YEO i got a more right style.
The sweetspot is huge, lots of power. Great feeling. Short game and blocking is Ok, but it's a blade to mainly loop/drive! A great 5ply from yasaka!

As everyone mention, the feeling. The feeling with this blade is amazing, i cant describe.
Sweetspot is almost entire blade. Mine is 87g.
Fast, medium/hard bit of flexure.
Control is the best ive tested. 9.5 for sure.
I use with Rakza7 max both sides.
I can produce monstruous spin in both slow loop or loop drive shots. My serve is very damaging. The only problem i have is flat hits but i think its more due technic/rubber than this beautiful blade.
I recommend to anyone who like to play until 2m of table, more than that i think will lack some power.

One of best 5ply allwood off blade ever. This blade is a spin moster with very very good feeling. More powerfull than my Innerforce AL/ALC with better touch. Only the sweet spot is a bit smaller than composite blade but its still pretty decent thanks to Walnut top ply and 6mm tickness.
Chose this blade around 88-90gr, the lighter ones around 82-85gr may feel hollow.
I don't see any lose of power compared to my 869gr viscaria but the 5ply allwood feeling is just the best in table tennis. Dwell time is long, the blade vibes so nicely on every single shot, its a plessure to play with.
I paired it with M1 turbo/M1/M2 and every time it was very good.
On of the best blade I ever played for blocks also.
But once again, the main feature of this blade is the feel/touch.
I own 12+ butterfly composite blades and since I've tried the YEO, I stick with it. Power + dwell time + great feel, YEO offers all of this while being a spin monster.
I ordered a JTTAA one around 88-90gr to see if it can be even better and to get a backup. I'm looking forward to Nexy Zealot also which seems to be the Nexy version of YEO.
The blade balance is great also, thats also why I prefer the YEO to Stiga Rosewwod V, Ebenholz 5 and Emerald VPS and the YEO is more powerfull also (haven't tried rosewood xo) while being more "easy" to use in short game.
And the other best thing about this blade : a fair price for a premium quality finish.
I still can't believe the price, around 45 in Europe, and you can find the JTTAA version for around 60. A professionnal version for chinese market also exists, usuall price is about 350 but I can get them for around 130 and I might consider it.

good pen hold; bad hand shake
good control; little power
nice close-to-table; bad counter loop

Ottimo telaio.
YEO good combination for me with Tenergy 05 on FH and Boost TS on BH. Spin is delicious like eat a cake hehehe.. about the control absolutely good for me..not to fast like a carbon but you will got feeling during your game. Very Recommended Blade. and very important is the price not too expensive :)
Hard blade, needs very good touch to play. Suitable for high level play. Fast for a 5-ply wood.
great for close to the table play, i played it about 3 weeks ago, i think the speed is off, control is very good, it also has an excellent feeling when hitting the ball, i used dhs neo skyline 3 in the fh and bryce speed on bh on this blade
Very nice blade. I've played for a long time, but I'd never owned my own paddle before. My first entry point, and I couldn't be happier. It's light, but has a large sweet spot and generates tremendous speed and spin. I can loop for accuracy and smash with power. I'm using Yasaka Rakza 7 rubber primarily.
I have this blade for 7 months now, playing 2 to 3 times a week, and for FH I use DHS Neo Skyline TG2 & BH I use 729 Focuse III Snipe. Well the light weight of the blade definetly increases it's control, but thats not it!! this blade is a beast!! it acts upon the rubbers attached to it, so if the rubber with low control the blade increases it & if the rubber with high control the blade stabilizes it. a very good choice if your thinking of buying the "Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive Blade".
Was a bit disappointed with the quality of this blade. The wood grain looks like its going in 2 different directions!
Besides that, the handle is very nice.
Playing wise, I put on 2 Joola Mambo H for forehand and backhand. This rubber is a fairly slow rubber so it will influence my assessment of this blade.
This has a good solid feeling to it but it also possesses the flexibility and light-weight that a good looping blade has.
5 plies, 2 of them being hard outer plies of walnut have given this blade its attributes.
Speed-wise, I would rate the blade as being offensive, maybe slightly on the lower end of Off. Out of a scale of 10, I have rated it as 8.7 so its got more than enough power for most players. While the blade is moderately fast, the control factor is still noticeably present.
I have been able to chop quite well with this setup because Mambo H is quite a slow rubber, probably equivalent to Sriver. The blade itself is slightly flexible which also helps, but I would not recommend this blade for a defensive game.
The Extra Offensive would work well with all rubbers- whether it is soft, medium or hard like Chinese rubbers.
If you're looking for a good quality, not-so-pricey and offensive blade, I would recommend the Extra Offensive.

This blade is fast between off- and off (Bty's rates) and blade is lighter than other wood blade.
I found its feeling not firm because type of wood which make its.
Summary,Good speed and control (Not great but it's OK)and light!!

Very good control with lighting speed. Although there is a little bit weakness when far from the table, it is enough for a penhold player. Because their advantage area is close to the table.
I have been using this blade with srivers on both sides for about half an year. I just cant believe as to how much my game has improved. It just pushes you go harder and harder and eventually end up hitting the best shots you have. The loophole here is that it needs a bit of control from the player. And thats how i like it. Otherwise you would hardly feel like playing your game once reach a level with the blade. It can loop as much as you want and can block rather quick on the shorter play. The long block or blocking farther from the table is a bit of a headache as the ball doesnot take off too as you would wish. But a gentle nudge forward will see the ball go back to your opponent rather swiftly. It does give me a feel thats really satisfying. Onl complaint is that this doesnot come in straight handle model. That would be a great addition to its credentials. The grip, even now, is heartwarming with the blade jus transforming intoan extension of your hand! Overall, it is bomb not a blade, If you master it, you can just leap into higher levels of the game!
Absolutely great weapon. I had this with two sheets of LKT rubbers. Very very light, those LKT are mushy rubbers, but when I paired with this blade, I have an excellent power. I feel like using a tensor, but also has a decent spin.
This review is for the JATTA Version ONLY! regular version has alot of vibrations & not as solid as JATTA ones.
Made for spinny shots & power looping just like Ma! Great at blocking as well & has very good feel. I highly recommend this one!

EDIT (mid 2011): It is not that soft actually. I was using hard carbons before that one and this blade feels really soft comparing to carbons. But I've tryed more wooden blades and I've changed my mind - this is a medium-hard blade with low flex. After more time with Rakza on it I must say it works really good. Ok, you feel some vibrations when hit a ball but it works great except this (I actually like it more and more day by day). Tenergy works good as well so it is not suitable for chinese rubbers only. I haven't tryed it with a soft rubber yet but I guess it's flex + soft rubber is not a good combination. I recommend it with rubbers. Great blade.
EDIT (April 2012): After many many hours with this blade I can say much more about it. I have a non jttaa regular version. It is softer in comparation with most of carbon OFF blades but in the range of all wood blades it belongs to the group of harder ones. It works very well with Rakza (I must say that after all), Tenergy or Coppa X1. These rubbers are medium and make a good harmony together. DHS Neo rubbers work good as well (I don't recommend rubbers harder than 40°). I paired this blade with Palio Thor's recently and it wasn't that good for me. Thor's is a tacky, hard rubber. It is playable but hard rubbers like Thor's require more flex. I've heard the jttaa version is diffferent, don't know how it plays. Conclusion: all wood, stiif blade, low flex. Works great with medium-hard euro/jap rubbers and DHS Neo up to 40 degree sponge. If you use harder rubber, look after a mor flexible blade.

I have this blade since a month, and it's a very good blade!I recomend it for everyone! It's very fast with a lot of control. The looping is very good you can feel the ball
The YEO is a very unique, and often overlooked blade. Construction: Walnut-Spruce-Ayous-Spruce-Walnut. The outer layer is a hard wood, which gives the blade its hard feeling and trademark metal "boing" sound when a ball is bounced on the bare blade. Although the blade feels hard and is quite fast, it is also flexible and excellent for looping and drives. The blade is controllable, despite having a lot of power. Recommended rubbers: Chinese-style (like Hurricane Neo 3) and soft Tensors. Recommended to ALL offensive players looking to try a unique blade that can pack a punch; it is worth a try since it is very inexpensive. Well-crafted; reviewer's "Best Value" blade.
Fast but good for close table only; stable but strength-less while play mid-distance rallying. Make a control racket with classic rubbers. Good for beginners or close-to-table fast attacker.
Great all wood blade. Its fast but not too fast, has great control and stiffness and hardness are good for the attacking style. Cheap and good quality. Comfortable FL handle. Coming from korbel/primorac this is an upgrade (a better upgrade).
Cons - Control is really hard to capture if you do not know how to.
Pros - Very good blade for a price. I would say this would be the best blade for a rating around - 1300 to 1900 (USATT). Fast blade, this is a baby beast. Add it with any kind of rubber and this will still be a beast. Looping gives a strong powerful feel if used properly. Smashing.... wow.... amazing. Smashes anything.

I think this blade is fast and not easy to control compared to my innerforce ZLC. faster than innerforce....
nice powerfull offensive blade. its a little bit stiffer for my taste but i'll adjust to it for sure. you really need to have proper technics of loop strokes to produce good topspin and lift chopped balls. where this blade really shines is fast smash/drive/counterloop close to the table! it might be your weapon of mass destruction if you can handle it ;)
Really happy with this blade. Has a perfect blend of speed and control for offense. It does require you do your own work to get the most out of it, but that's how a good blade should be. If you're relying on your blade to get spin and power then you're not developing right. This is definitely a blade to look at if you play a varied offensive attack with loops, flat hits, and smashes mixed in.
Have quite good controlled feeling. However, it requires so much effort to have a reasonable power, speed and loop.
This is also know as the YEO. For many years Ma Lin had been using this blade with a different blade. This is the older brother of the class Yasaka Extra. What's different is the outer ply, it has been replaced with a harder type of wood, making it stiffer and harder, and of course, more powerful.
I have truly found my holy grail with this blade, its speed and control is nothing special, but the sound and feel that it makes is very unique. It makes a high pitch pong sound whenever the ball strikes, and its vibration gives it a very good feel. I can't describe it, so you have to experience it to know what i am talking about. And for $43USD, you have nothing to lose in trying one.
I play Chinese penhold with this blade, and one of the best feature of Yasaka's penhold blade is the thin handle (top to bottom) at the gripping point, it is much more comfortable than any other brand as they are more bulky.
