Using for FH on Nittaku Acoustic in 2.0 thickness. Excellent, very control combination. Nice feeling of the ball, big dwell time. It is much less sensitive to incoming spin than T05 FX or Rozena, and slower than them.

This is one hell of a softish, squoinky, thickish rubber. Made for juicy allround table tennis. Both light touch play and big loops are easy with this rubber. Smashing ok. The only downside is that its really hard to chop, but just do that occationaly and everything is fine. Pushing gets some time to get used to be after a while its ok.
Amazing control. Great for beginners to intermediate. It's not too fast, not too bouncy, spinny enough. Very predictable, soft, controllable feeling, the ball goes where you want even if you make mistakes. I put it on backhand, Rakza 7 on forehand, on a 5-ply wood Butterfly Hadraw 5 and from the very first match with this setup I've had a very consistent and controllable game, winning more vs the same opponent than before.
Love this rubber. Was not sure about the throw at first until I worked out how to flatten it. Now this throw makes staying in an aggressive rally easy. I have a fast blade with Neo H3 on the FH and really like the contrasting shots going between them. I find the 7 soft is a blocking machine that gets excellent placement. Easy to have a high throw that dips onto the white line but can really flatten out your shots to keep your opponents busy. Chops well at the net and you can still hit the ball. I will mix my forehand up between my neo H3 and 7 soft to change what my opponent is seeing. Really like this rubber, amazing control and placement. Needs a fast blade for your backhand but is great for setting you up if you have an aggressive offensive forehand. Might be a technique issue for me, I find this rubber on service has heavy spin on the 2nd bounce compared to the Neo H3 that has the heavy spin on the third. Just something I have noted and use it to my advantage when serving.
I've used this rubber for 4-5 months (playing 15-20h per week on average) on my bh before changing it with Rakza X. It has great feeling, it's very easy to use and generate spin, and exceptional at blocking. I've learned how to bh flick using this rubber. The amount of safeness, the dwell time, the medium-high arc makes it exceptional for beginner-intermediate players that are developing their game. Also the price, the quality and the durability are 10/10. Mine is still usable. I just wanted to try out Rakza X.
If you like softer rubber - buy it. Out of all soft rubbers - this is the best. After playing other soft rubber I just put it on my blade Rakza 7 Soft after long time and I love it. Even after playing hard rubbers for a while. Xiom soft ones didnt have same spin or blocking. Andro R37, R42, andro hexer sfx, play well first couple weeks but lose grip fast and do Not have same lasting spin. clicking sound is best on Rakza 7 Soft.
It's the most spinny rubber I've ever had. The sponge is pretty soft. Easy to control on low speeds.
Problems:
1. High bounce on servings, no matter what type of serve I try to create.
2. Otherwise, trajectory on any strock is very linear. Of course, I'm not a pro, but even DHS Hurricane 8 has less linear trajectory than Yasaka from my point of view.
High speed of rubber + linear trajectory makes this rubber offensive and danger but high bounce ruins this advantage and makes this rubber more danger for you.

Yasaka Rakza 7 Soft is really good rubber. Got a lot of spin and great control. Moreover it is rather soft and not much speed. This combination makes it incredibly easy to play. I highly reccommend this rubber on Backend for every intermediate allround player.
To sum up, my rating for Yasaka Rakza 7 Soft (in scale 1 to 10) is:
Speed = 8,0
Spin = 9,2
Control = 9,6

Using Rakza 7 soft for both BH and FH. On a Yasaka MA Lin Extra offensive.
Very good Rubbers easy to get the ball to spin. Also very good when blocking. Only thing I have noticed is that is a bit slow. But has a good overall control,
You can not go wrong with this rubber at all. Does everything good but excels at spinning, once they are done I will step up to Rakza X and Rakza Z.

This is one of the best economy rubber for offensive players. Very suitable for spin and control.
Great forehand rubber. In combination with Gewo Zoom Balance All+, 2.0 thickness, only red color (I have the impression that black has less spin) The ball goes where I want.
After 2 months, it is possible to tune in 2 layers and the rubber is better, better ...!

I have been playing table tennis for 4 years. I have already tried a few rubbers. I think Yasaka Rakza 7 soft is a very good rubber for beginners. It is very soft, forgives a lot, has good grip. This is a typical rubber for all-round games. Very good for learning topspin. Both good for backhand and forehand. So far I've played rasanter 42, TSP Ventus Spin - and this gum is no worse than them. The throw angle is higher than in harder rubbers - which is logical. Fast rubbers give a flatter hit. The soft ones are a bit higher. You can play anything with this gum ... topspin, backcspin, sidespin, short game, block, it's easy to use. You aim wherever you want, not where another rubber tells you to. I highly recommend it. The price is adequate to the quality of the product. The highest quality product.
Diverse in play. Can perform many shots confidently with this. Most noticeable aspect of this rubber is control. Use on harder surfaced blade for best results I believe. Tried Goiabao 5 and was not confident. YEO7 power I felt was crisp. Came back to this combination after months. If you find your overshooting often, 1-2 layers of booster after layer of glue helps to lift throw angle and shorten distance of travel. Try it.
I did not like it. Bouncy, slow, has less spin than too many new rubbers like andro, xiom, butterfly. But if you like bouncy rubbers use with hardest blades.Do not forget this is 11 years old rubber now!
9.4/10 for OFF style. FH/BH: Yasaka Rakza 7 Soft, 2mm, 44g (0.214g/cm^2), 39.5 degrees (ESN), 33 degrees (Shore A). Blade: Butterfly Garaydia T5000, 90g, 157mm x 150mm x 7.2mm (Width x Height x Thickness). Plies: 5 (3 Wood + 2 Composite): Hinoki - Tamca - Kiri - Tamca - Hinoki.
Yasaka Rakza 7 Soft MAX. Excellent playing rubber. Fun to play with. Control and ball placement comes easy. Very nice touch and feel when delivering and receiving the ball. Gives you the power and speed as needed. Good for counterattacking. Compliments my Donic Waldner World Champion 89 OFF blade when blocking and everything else. Amazing rubber in the same class as Butterfly T05-FX 2.1, Donic Bluestorm Z3 2.1, and Tibhar Evolution FX-P MAX. No complaints here. GIVE IT A TRY!!!
Easy to use. Great for backhand flicks and blocks. Backhand top spin is nice and accurate. Not for chopper...
This is my second review of rakza 7 soft. Played with it for a few weeks and its amazing.use a mazunov blade, stiff and fast and the combo of this wonderfull control rubber and fast blade is a dream. Control and power are the best....feels like my development has gone ito over drive.feels like i will stick with it for a long time.
Rakza 7 soft is great....control is superb(max),spin is good and if you play a full shot speed is very good.enjoyable to play with as the extra control puts you in position to attack, which it does well.found i was doing touch shots easily and then an attack....fun but very effective.
Intermediate player here.
Apparently my experience was vastly different from most people here. This rubber had a TON of speed for me, and very few gears. Every hit was fast, I had to stay completely still on my blocks most of the time or it would fly off the table. It also has a very high amount of spin, especially on slower balls.
But I had VERY LITTLE control with these rubbers. I struggled a lot just to get the ball on the table. The throw angle felt very low, which threw me off a lot and I never quite got used to it. Beyond that, it's so fast that a lot of my balls would go off the table.
If you're very experienced and just want a ton of spin and speed, this is worth trying out. If you're looking for a rubber for your first custom paddle, I'd consider something with more control. I tried the DNA Pro M after these and it made a world of difference for me. Surprisingly they are much slower, with almost as much spin, and a very high amount of control.

Red Max on a 729 V-6 blade. I've tried this for about an hour of warming up (will play more soon). On forehand it's easy to loop and brushloop, but the top spin effect isn't so great compared to Chinese rubber such as Big Dipper, Hurricane 2/3 NEO etc., but control is super. Quite slow though. 200207: Now I have this in black, Max, on my back hand. This is a much nicer experience. Soft and slow. Easy to top spin. The ball sinks into the sponge and makes the dwell time long. Easy doing backspin serves as well. The only down side for me, is that it's quite heavy in Max sponge. I'm coming from using 729 Focus III Snipe on backhand, that is very light compared to this Rakza 7 Soft. I also tried the Tibhar Aurus Sound in 2.1mm Black to see if it was better than R7S for me, but sadly it was a tad worse in most ways.
On backhand, coming from 729 Focus III Snipe, it's even softer than the F3S H42 sponge. The grip is much better, and it's quite easy to flick and top spin. Blocking is extraordinary easy. The balls just sinks into the sponge, and very rarely it goes too long.
For me, this is a backhand rubber with quite good spin and superb control. Weight cut, Max: 49g

Love this rubber. Can throw a good spin and a loop. Needs little time to gain control though
Has to be the best rubber ever, it doesnt like knocks as its so soft but I love it so much and its lasted a good few months with no degradation in performance just badly damaged leading edges. I replaced the original tape with the widest I could get to protect the rubber which seems to have helped it last.
I simply love the feel, and the way big loops on f/h and b/h fly is a delight let alone winning points. Teamed with Donic Waldner cordon dotec gives a great combination, beating players I couldnt get near to before.

Very good rubber with power spin. Nice to pair with hard and fast blades. Enjoy that
Ratings for 2.2mm. Similar to tenergy fx, a bit easier to use. Better price. 44g.
Compared to Yasaka Rising Dragon, this rubber is softer, slightly slower, and much more controlled. I use it for reverse penhold backhand and I could immediately feel that my BH blocks were much more stable. Huge plus since most people hammer my backhand since I'm penhold. I did notice that my BH drives were going into the net initially -- I believe this is because it's slightly slower than the Rising Dragon. But when you start looping, the rubber does pick up in speed. For looping, the throw angle is about the same as the Rising Dragon, if not slightly higher. Far away from the table, you can definitely see the high arc. This rubber is much more forgiving on the timing of the stroke when looping away from the table, so it felt like I could just swing my arm and the ball would go on.
Overall, I think this rubber is a very good value rubber with high control, medium to high throw, and medium speed. It will help my BH be a lot more controlled both on looping and on blocking.
Note: the rubber is slightly more fragile than the Rising Dragon, so it crumbles a bit more easily on the edges if you don't have edge tape.

My rubber journey began with Mark V on an all wood bat which gave me enough confidence to explore stroke technique and get excited about table tennis. Along this journey I switched to a faster bat (Rossi Emotion) and put Hurricane III Neo rubbers on it, and it seemed like a great combination for me, even if a carbon bat is serious overkill for a beginner. This setup was used through a period where I progressed quickly - so this is the setup I will have to compare anything new to.
I put Rakza 7 Soft on a new Joola Air Fibre blade - using tensor rubbers immediately had me overshoot the table and put balls in the net, so I took off the Forehand Rakza and put back my Hurricane III. Immediately the Hurricane felt lifeless and dead compared to Rakza, but I magically kept balls on the table. But having had a taste for how awesome, springy and spinny Rakza was for serving and looping, I am now considering taking the plunge and just revert to all tensor rubbers and hopefully get used to them over time. I am testing Tenergy 05, Tenergy 80 and Stiga Genesis II (s) as well. (My coach is encouraging me to stop using slow rubbers on fast blades and instead use slower all-wood bats and put tensor rubbers on them.) I am not good enough to really evaluate rubbers in finer detail, but I can say that serving with Rakza7 is amazing and using it on my backhand seems to work well - with enough of an arc to clear the net when I expect it.

It's my current rubbers after first vari spin, then acuda S3. I play it in 2mm with stiga all around classic. At first i found it very fast and i had to let it down for a while and play with something slower. I think it's an advanced rubber. Now that i brush the ball properly on almost all my shots, i feel that i have a great control with and i can play slow spinny low and loop drive without problem. For me the short game is also good, no problem with it, same for the serve. The only problem i feel now is that it's not hard enough for me now, it bothers me sometimes. To conclude i think it's a very good rubbers and won't be a mistake for anybody. Just you first need to have developed proper strokes and consistency, i think. Enjoy :)
Rakza 7 soft is good for plastic ball..it can grip the ball very well..i use max thickness..very controlled rubber..forgiving rubber..nice block..but kind of hard to flick near the net cause the throw angel is high..awesome durability
Using 1.8 mm on F/H (black) for many weeks now. Like the extra spin/speed plus feeling this rubber gives. Upgraded from Mk. V and a definite step in the right direction. Has sufficient power to give your opponent something to think about. Agree it can deliver very good backspin when chopping off opponent's drives. Very good rubber for controlled attack, equally good for defence in the right hands. Overall an excellent rubber from Yasaka.
4 march ,2018-Have red (max) on BH of DHS-301 blade.Brilliant-maybe the ''best'' rubber(and I have used a lot of them). No need to waste time trying too many rubber if you are not made for experimenting-blindly buy this. Its spin increases as it gets older(first 2 weeks)-then stabilizes.Good ,consistent spin, great loops, blocks are awesome-I love to block fast loops using my BH-ball shoots away from the opponent.Serves are very spinny. It's reactive to incoming spin....so beginners may have issue in receiving.Speed=9.1,spin=9.5(update-15-05-2018)
This is a good rubber I used on my BH at 2.0mm for a short period of time.
The speed is fast but not too fast, control is very good for the speed. This rubber excells on the spin department. Very spinny for serves and topspin.
I stopped using this rubber as it is a bit bouncy for the short game and too soft for me although it is not super soft.
I preffer the normal Rakza 7 for both BH and FH.
You must carefully store this rubber with protective sheets as the edges are easily rip apart after few months of use.
The durability of the top sheet is very good, even after 1 year it is still very spinny.

Used on Timo Ball Forte. Fairly hard blade, good for this rubber. Style play is Attack. Almost three year and going, rubber is still performing as expected.
Great for quick back-hand attack. Great dynamic in generating spin and speed. Control (attack) is very good and fairly consistence 8-9 out of 10. Control touch and feel for the ball leaving the blade is very good (9/10).
Due to the medium tackiness of the sponge, it is difficult to loop on incoming under spin. Can be done but take much more effort and focus. This holds true to all tacky rubbers. Great rubber all-around.

It is a great BH rubber for starters and intermediate players. Also for average players who play with thin flexible blades. This rubber not great for harder and stiffer blades as the rubber will thin out during shots and u loose ur control.I played this on YEO power 7 initially during first few months i did great and the rubber improved my game once my BH got better and better i started exerting more force on BH for looping and counter top spins then the rubber started getting out of control as the ball started sinking into the rubber more and started falling out of the table. This rubber did everything for me great spin ,looping, counter top spins, great close to net play great feel while blocking. But as i improved and was using a harder blade changed to rakza 7 now with great control and power during the game.Problem with this rubber is as ur ratings start improving and u start facing better opponents with great forehands then this rubber doesnot perform well as the ball will sink deeper into the sponge.
Soft. Easy to use. High pitch sound when hit hard. The only problem r7 is durability of rubber, easy to chip on the edge.
I am a beginner/intermediate looper. I was using Rakza on my forehand and Mark V on my backhand on a Timo Boll Spirit blade. Beginners should focus on feeling and brushing the ball. Rakza is too fast and too soft for this. It is only good for blocking and hitting flat. It increases the dwell time massively. When looping the ball is going too deep into the rubber and is then spat out at a random time without letting me add spin or place the ball where I want. In the short game, you have to be careful not to activate its springiness. On the positive side, its durability and spin are very good. Harder rubbers are better for beginners as they give you better feel and one less thing to worry about (the soft sponges behaviour). My forehand has improved a lot since I moved to a slower, hard Chinese rubber (Galaxy Mercury II, cost me 3.7). My forehand wasnt improving and now, 2 months with the new rubber, I can see that Rakza was the problem. I cannot recommend the soft version of Rakza I am afraid. Too expensive for what it offers. Try the soft version of Galaxy Mercury II if you are looking for a soft rubber.
Personally I prefer it in FH in rigid and fast woods, high draft angle, easy topspin in FH, I tried it in BH but I did not like to block because of the angle of shot, fast rubber but with a lot of control, soft construction and good quality , excellent to block and attack, pleasant sensations, great spin, only excellent qualifications for this yasaka product.
One of the best rubbers for backhand in order to dominate rallies along with tenergies and Nittaku Hammond pro beta (best for flat hits). YR7S is a looping machine providing great control and heavy spin when required. Speed very much depends on blade's hardness and offensiveness. Light too 43 grams cut standard size.
This is my favorite BH ribber on fast blades now. I 1st tried it on my Xion Zetro Quad FH and it created enormous side spin that my opponent kept missing it wide. It was so easy to play with excellent control due to slower speed(not slow though). I flip to the BH side and also got great results. My flicks are so easy to do and the service return was very easy and secure. Even the speed was slower than my other rubber but the spin & control more than made up for that. I highly recommend this rubber on faster blades.
My ratings: Speed=8.5; Spin=9.5; Control=9.5; Weight=43.5g(cut to 159x152 bigger than the blade so the actual weight should be around 42g on 157x150); Sponge Hardness=4(med soft); Throw Angle=med high; Consistency=10; Overall=9.5

Ussualy i dont like soft rubber on my BH side, but Rakza 7 soft is so enjoyable to play with, control & spin are very good for close table play.. better than Rasant Grip or event T05
Red 1,8 mm placed on Stiga Defensive NCT. Love the spin and feeling this rubber gives. Enough power to give your opponent something to think about. Also great to chop and deliver deadly underspin.
I have fh and bh max on nitaku acoustic blade, the combo is the best I found so far. Extremely spinny high throw and arc with excellent control. Suitable for strong looping game. Not that great if you want to smash all the time .but still does it well. I tryed rakza 7 but throw is much lower than rakza7 soft. R7 soft sponge is much livelier with nice sound. By the way new polyball seems to have not effect R7 soft performance, think due to the softness of sponge is in favour of the new balls which wraps around the hard polyball better.
Rubber is slower than the Xiom Vega Europe and Hexer+ I've tried on this blade. So would not say it's "fast" as others have said here. Throw angle is very slightly higher than both, with similar control to Vega Europe. Makes up for lack of speed with higher spin, which is nice. Most players would probably like it on their BH, but if you want to improve technique it's great for FH also. Has a great sound with many blades due to it's softness. Reminds me of my first setup (in 2006) Primorac OFF- with BTY Flextra both sides, although that was way slower than TSPW with YR7S both sides.
I used Rakza soft for forehand 3 monts on samsonov carbon and there are few people that said that im very consistetnt and precise for all strikes.. "like im puting ball on table with hands" i changed it because my club buyed me pair of joola maxxx 450 .. witch have lower throw and its faster...
its very light rubber, and sponge is sensitive..
one of the best players in club (blocker) use it for forehand, and he have bad forehand tehnic - so its very forgiving rubber...

2.0 fh and bh on timo boll spirit. Love it. Can't go wrong with this combination.
Can there be a better rubber... DO NOT AGREE WITH SPIN SPEED CONTROL RATINGS GIVEN HERE... my take is:
Speed 8.9
Spin 9.4
Control 9.7 (There is probably no other rubber matching to control offered by this rubber)
Through angle is medium-high
Durability of top surface is exceptional. 7 months old rubber acts like new.
Wonderful looping... I start using it on FH for its precision. WIll soon have both sides with the same rubber.
I played with Rakza 7 Soft on BH for two years until recently when I realized its wonderful grace on the forehand as well. This is the rubber which would overtake every other rubber in past and future. Very good for top spin play, blocks, chops or what you want to hear... this is a truly great rubber from Yasaka.
I have played with Rakza 7, Rakza 9, Tibhar Evo MXP, Mark V and many other rubbers... but trust me, Rakza 7 soft is one thing which cannot be compared with any other rubber. Its just so unique and awesome.

Recommended on FH looping with OFF to OFF+ blade. Great spin with above than average speed. The control of this rubber is a bit hard due to high throw but it is managable somehow.
Paring with Xiom Katana Platinum on FH (max) and it feels great. Even though I changed to thinner blade because it offers more control on backhand side.

I played about 4 months with this rubber. I am a defender so I chooce the 1.8 version on my fh. This rubber has the best spin I've ever seen, but its a also fast for defending...Good for loops, topspins and serves, difficult in chops and pushes..Another thing is that after 4 months of using (3 times a week) now its not so spinny and the edges are easily damage. Overall good rubber for allrounder or offensive players.
i have this rubber on 1.8 and 2.0 on a dhs pg 7 blade feels and plays good ,can flip.loop, smash and serve wiyh great ease and spin, onli problem i have sometimes is blocking but i guess i need more practice to get use to it,only played 2-3 hours with this paddle.this rubber can do well on mid distande ,good luck to all!
After EJ'ing a lil bit around this has become my permanent backhand rubber. Very good controlled offense, awesome opening loops, smashes and chops. This rubber acts a little differently when brand new, so give it a good 4 to 5 hours of use and then the real performance of this rubber kicks in. Initially it seems to me very sensitive to incoming spin but turned out it is not. Not as soft as people would think (because of its name), I would say tad harder than Tenergy 05FX. Very good find!!
A very high quality rubber suitable for intermediate and advanced players. Nice speed, great spin with high throw. Perfect on Butterfly TBS or M. Maze with regular Rakza on FH and Rakza soft on BH. Reactive to incoming spin so not recommended for beginners. Great for double wing loopers who play mid/away.
I use this rubber for my forehand. It's a nice rubber if you want to improve your style with a tensor rubber, you can put it in all kind of blades and not feel the difference. Removing the water based glue is almost impossible from the sponge and the speed is below the standard of the other tensor rubber.
Rakza 7 soft Max Black Colour.
It is a Tensor rubber. Very lightweight, grippy almost not at all tacky. This rubber is slightly slower than the Rakza 7 but generates even more spin than that ! You notice the effect of the tensor when playing the 2nd or 3rd ball, when your return gets noticeably spinnier and faster off the table. And it is huge! Your opponent better be prepared to go "Fetch" that ball because its going to bounce away from him at the speed of light. You can put your opponent in deep unrecoverable places with the speed and spin.
One thing though, the rubber reacts to spin/serves just like Mark V, meaning you have to exert quite a bit of control and push/chop the spin balls correctly, else you will see the ball bounce off your racket at crazy angles.
You can still block top spins and watch your ball land on the other side. You can push/block and have your opponent run all over the place, but beware of the spinnier returns, and try to play aggressively, which is the real beauty of this rubber !!!
Balls with curve into the table and chops are sharp, even a slow chopping motion can make a return ball very hard to catch !
Ever increasing speed, spin while still in control makes this rubber really good for the constant rally player. Korean choppers, flippers and pushers will do very well with this rubber as their weapon. They might need to open up their blade slightly and stroke play to get this ( this is a soft sponge rubber ) but no need to add power ! Thats the thing, this rubber reacts if you even slightly brush the ball !!!
Blocking and hitting is probably not a strong suite with this rubber, I think it might be due to the tensor, it requires activation through stroke play where brushing the ball makes the tensor active and the rubber alive. If you block try korean chopping ( even a little bit helps) the resulting ball definitely returns spinnier and the speed might be like as if you hit the ball !!!

Played it in 1,8mm on Forehand. Very good for Topspin style with great control.
Excellent combination of spin and control. With the right stroke (such as a BH loop), can grab and flick the ball with terrific speed. Great for loops (rather than flat hitting); good for chopping. Remarkably easy to use well.
highly recommend for bh, i think it has better control with wood blades. one of my favorite bh rubbers. other one is hammond pro beta.
After 6 months i can say is very durability rubber, lack of speed, good in spin, but maybe because i use 1.8 trust me don`t buy this rubber in 1.8 maybe will be god if your new in table tennis.
Good in both spin and control but fast enough for speed game. Spin opening for precise ball placing game, this one suits a tactical long game.
This is the best rubber I have ever used.
It provides the perfect balance of effortless spin, control and placement. I currently play it in Max on my BH and it is absolutely amazing.
It blocks, loops, chops and pushes very very well and is extremely easy to use. I had absolutely zero learning curve with this rubber. I put it on my blade and played great right away.
Pair it with a fast blade for an attacking game or a slower blade for a controlled game.
I have never used a rubber with performance like this that is so easy to use. It really is foolproof!
EDIT: As mentioned by a reviewer above, the sponge on this rubber is VERY fragile. I peeled it off my blade to try it on another blade and large chunks of the sponge came off!! Now it is unusable. A rather expensive experiment!

i don´t think that the throw angle is high, but all the other stuff seems to be like really accurate, maybe a little less spin like 9,2 or 9,3 but a good rubber at a stiga hybridwood at both sides, but i liked better at bh
Great soft rubber with a high throw, great control and loads of spin. Not superfast.
I play it BH on a Grubba All+ and it's a great combination. Came from Sriver soft and transition was very easy.
Looping and blocking is very good, as is hard pushes, chops and serves.
Short play close to the net is it's weakest point - this rubber needs a bit of power to play controlled due to the bouncy sponge.
Highly recommended for intermediate players.

good rubber, but it depends on a blade, i used to Yasaka Dynamix 17 and it was bad :(
Great rubber meant for backhand, if there ever was one. Great for looping, forget smashing. Good feel
tryed this rubber way too soft serve / chop good but when i attacked with this rubber just seemed to slow and soft
Much better control than the normal version! An excellent versatile rubber!
Use it on may backhand with all+ blade. It is very fast but no too fast. It is spiny enough, lifts the ball greatly. Control is great - every shot goes where I want it and pretty fast. Blocking and service return great also. I hate Tenergy because of lousy control and stone hard feel. Rakza7 soft is much better choice for me. It is slower then Tenergy but control is doubled.
Awesome rubber for the loop oriented play. Spin is very high control is high aswell. For being a tensor it is a bit slow, but who cares? :) One of the best rubbers out there!
I have been using this on both sides of a Donic Waldner Senso Ultra Carbon, and it's gold! 2.0 FH and Max BH. Plenty of speed, great spin, and great control. Handles the soft touch shots beautifully, and serves well. Almost imperceptible difference between 2.0 and Max. Max is a touch faster, but just as controllable. I'll probably go all Max whenit's time for new rubber.
I have A/B'd this with the Xiom Omega IV Elite as BH-rubbers on a Stiga Hybrid Wood penhold blade. 2.0 mm thickness on both rubbers.
The Rakza 7 Soft feels slightly faster, while the Xiom has a slight edge in spin. Both are very spinny though, you will not feel like you're lacking in that department whichever you go with.
Control is excellent for both rubbers. However, the Xiom is VERY soft, probably the softest rubber I've tried. It's actually a little too soft for my taste, it can feel a little mushy sometimes, like it's bottoming out. The Rakza is more medium-soft, has a more crisper feel to it.
Both are light, about the same weight which was slightly surprising, I figured the Xiom would feel lighter due to the softer sponge.
Playing RPB they both excel at the same thing; giving a hard curve with that great snapping catapult effect off the table. Fantastic for sidespin flicks as well as playing further off the table.
I ended up sticking with the Rakza, I just feel more comfortable with the slightly firmer feel. Both are great rubbers though and fit the same profile; soft rubbers aimed at working more with spin and control than outright speed. That's not to say they're slow though, they're still tensor rubbers after all.
Edit: After playing with it for ~4 months I can safely say that durability is excellent, I play 4-5 days a week and it still looks and feels more or less as new. Brilliant rubber.
Another Edit: Or slight warning, actually. Be very careful when removing the old glue if you're e.g. regluing to another blade. The sponge is very porous and a little brittle, so you run the risk of tearing off parts of the sponge along with the glue if you don't take care.

Plays simillar to Rakza. Differences I found: less speed, higher throw angle, different sound, softer feel, more controll. Spin is the same - high. I switched from normal Rakza to the soft version because I wanted more controll on blocks. It works very well, exactly what I was expecting. Still very good in attacking but much more controll in passive strokes (block and so on). Awesome rubber, highly recommened for those who think the normal Rakza is too fast.
i use it with donic epox control on bh and fh . it has a good spin and suitible speed. for allround player this is the second best rubber after t05fx.
Currently testing on bh of Stiga Offensive NCT in 2mm. Regular Rakza 7 on fh. Easy to loop with and has huge kick off the table. Most topspin I have got from any rubber. Sponge is very soft, feels like 30 degree. Because of this it is a bit bouncier than normal and I find some drives going long. It certainly has excellent spin and short game is good for tensor. Blocking is not as easy having been used to Black Power which is firm but this will also depend on blade. I may switch to regular Rakza and am intending to use on a harder blade. Best tensor I have used and better control than Tenergy with at least as much spin. 8/10.
This is an excellent rubber. gives you grip and speed thanks to its top sheet and tensor sponge. Plus its soft sponge offers the needed feel and control.
I use it as a forehand on a Yasaka 3D Max Carbon and the combination is balanced and effective.
Serving is very good, looping is spiny and with long throw and it feels suitable for either close to or far from the table play style.
Yasaka has done a great job with the Rakza family and it brings the glory of the good old Mark V but with the gears needed for the no speed glue era.

Hi, I'm using Rakza 7 Soft for 6 months now. With RAKZA rubbers, Yasaka team offered to the matket another super rubber (as MarkV was many years ago).
Despite its excellent reviews, I hesitated to buy the Rakza 7 (too hard for me, because more than 45°), so I tried Rakza 7 SOFT (39°).
Excellent spin, very grippy, top spin, block and all the other techniques. It depends on the blade you use, better will be one having polyvalent profile (Tibhar Balsa IVL, Primorac Classic etc).
Even if it's the soft version, the Sponge has tensor inside, so start with 1.8 for players learning offensive play, or directly 2 mm.
I think that "max" will be too muchfor starting. Anyway, is allways better for any rubber to start with less and and with more sponge.
Conclusion: excellent rubber, offering more control than its pure offensive version - RAKZA 7. Ideal for players which like to keep control or wants to play strategically.
