Sorry for the lack of information - it was late when I posted. I'm just a hacker who has access to a table at the office - no club play or tournaments, at least not yet. :-)

I play close to the table, and I try to attack everything with top spin at the earliest opportunity. I'm finding that lots of shots go just long, so I'm hoping to find a racket that will help more of these hit the table. I could definitely use more backspin on the serve, since I'm having trouble getting the double-bounce.

I just tried a colleague's high-end blades and rubber for the very first time. The difference in speed was so overwhelming that I hit most everything way long. I suppose I'm looking to find a blade/rubber combination that will be similar in feel to the Kodo, but provides more spin, and will allow me to grow into it.
